Because a smirk definitely means it was intentional...

Did he smirk? I was watching the game and didn't see it. Seemed like he was barking at himself to me.

I didn't see it either... I was just critiquing his assumption that a smirk means he did it on purpose.

It could have been a sarcastic smirk if there was one. like a Oh f*** smirk.

I did not see a smirk. Maybe Jacko saw a facial expression while Beckett farted. This would seem to make sense as he was in the process of s***ing himself.

Are you retarded Jacksonian?

Look at his face. Does that look like a satisfied smile (smirk) to you? If it does, i have some real state i want to sell you.

Is it, or it is not a smirk?

Regardless of whether or not Beckett's pitches were intentional (the only one that I think was intentional was when he brushed back Cervelli in the third inning), retaliating is understandable, simply because of how many guys were either hit or knocked down.

However, that spot is not the right time for it.

Agree.

Plus, in many cases, if nothing else, many pitchers will hit the guy on the opposition who played the same position as the original guy that got hit/hurt. So Pedroia getting hit was an obvious (but fair) retaliation for Cano getting hit yesterday.

More stupidity from Ken Rosenthal.

Can't they put a big breasted air head woman in the stands instead of him. At least she would bring something to the table.
