Visual score tracker

I meant to post this the other day when I first found it. I think this is a really cool way to get a sense of wins and losses and their margins.

Red means win. Blue means loss. Size of the bubble means how many runs your team scored by, and the area of the bubble visible represents margin of victory. This is outdated (only goes back to the Baltimore series) but cool nonetheless.

LOL. So I guess what it says is we only win close ones but when we get beat 1/2 the time it's a slaughter.

That's what it looks like. I think it's cool to present old data in new ways. Patterns come out that you wouldn't have otherwise noticed so easily.

They followed this up with another really cool visualization of series. Home vs away. Red = a series win. It shows how well the sox have been doing at home lately (and how terrible they were at the beginning of the season).
