I know, it is early in the season and this usually wouldn't be a concern if it was just one game or maybe even two, but 4 games in, we haven't had one game where the bullpen hasn't given up 1 run, this includes games with are closer and top set up men blowing leads.

The stats don't lie: each relief pitchers respective stats:

Ramon Ramirez - 0.1 innings, 2 earned runs, 54.00 ERA

Jonathan Papelbon - 2.1 innings, 2 runs, 7.71 ERA

Scott Schoeneweis - 1.2 innings, 1 run, 5.40 ERA

Hideki Okajima - 1 inning, 1 run, 4.50 era

Daniel Bard - 4 innings, 1 earned run, 2.25 ERA... However he has given up 2 hits and 3 walks in those 4 innings.

Scott Atchison - 2 innings, 1 run, 4.50 ERA

Manny Delcarmen - 1 inning, 0 runs, 0.00 ERA

Combined In 11.2 innings bullpen has allowed 9 runs.

Should we be worried or just count it as early season struggles due to not being in the zone or not being used to the season yet or something like that?

The only one in the bullpen that hasn't allowed a run is Delcarman! I think it's too early to panic, I mean look how the Yanks started off last year and they ended up winning it all. It's not how you start the season it's how you finish! I believe the Sox will finish strong and the bullpen will pull it together.

How is this trolling exactly?

IMO, it's not trolling, but it is an epic knee-jerk reaction. If he got banned, there has to be another reason.

Because to have such a reaction after the first week of the season, you either have to be,

A. Troll

B. Idiot

C. Both A & B

Sure its the first week of the season, but the problem didn't start this season-- the Sox bullpen fell apart at the end of last year-- and I'm not just talking about the last game against the angels. RR had a below average august/september. Okajima had a rough september. Bard a rough august/september. MDC, enough said. Then, replace Saito and Wagner with Itch and Shoe.

A lot of good pitchers are having rocky starts as closers so far this year. Maybe just a law of averages.

I saw Bard one of those games against NY, and I thought he looked better than Pap. Only time will tell.

Delcarmen is about strung out. I'd like to see about 3 lefties in the BP. Never enough against NY.

The pen does suck, anyone who thought we had a top 5 pen like we did last year was crazy. Delcarmen appears to be blown out, his fastball has dropped 5mph and he wasn't great all the time to begin with. Rameriz looks like he has lost all confidence in himself out there. Okijima has been figured out by the league and isn't deceiving anyone anymore. I figured out last year was the beginning of the end for him in Boston. Bard is going through the motions, he is a 2nd year player and he is going to be thrown into the fire a lot. Papelbon...... we will see.

We have to get some 'pen help as soon as possible they just flat out suck. If our starter goes 5, we just might as well call it quits, some interesting stats...

When our starting pitcher goes 6+ innings - The Red Sox are 2-1

When they go under 6 innings we are 1-3

I know its really early to look at a stat but you get my drift, the lost when wake left the game after the two home runs the sox were still up 3-2, the bullpen blew it in the 8th.

We need to get some sort of Rp like Brendan Donnelly or someone who you can relay on for that 6th or 7th inning... But only time can tell its still only April lots of time for our pitching to warm up.

I still feel the same way I did a month ago. Replacing Saito/Wagner with Schoenweiss/Atchison/Joe Nelson really hurt the team. Getting an above average bullpen arm from one of those teams that are already several games back shouldn't be expensive, and unlike getting a big bat, its something in much higher quantity, so its difficult to speculate where from.

I would love to see a Lowell+11 mill for a bp arm type trade at this point-- but maybe thats a bit optimistic.
