Sign Papelbon!

That brings up a point.

It was 5 outs to go and Paps hadn't pitched in a couple days. Why did we go to Bard instead of Paps?

At Bard's stage in his career' date=' Papelbon [b']was[/b] lights out dominant.

Which means f***all now that he's dropped his recent suckbomb.

I *FREAKING HATE* the sacrifice bunt to advance the runner to second. You have to have a runner at second before sac bunting makes sense.

Besides, we had three outs left, WHY GIVE ONE AWAY???

It's the right move with Scutaro up. You eliminate the chance to GIDP and put a guy in scoring position.

Im not scared of Hochevar. He's yet to put up a solid full season' date=' last year he posted a 6.55 ERA. 7.94 career ERA vs Boston in 4 starts[/quote']

That's exactly why I *am* scared of Hochevar.

Ah, i remember the Yankee's April last year fondly. Their fans' knee jerk reactions were eerily similar to some of our fan's.

What does Hochevar have to do with this? We're facing Greinke tomorrow. Meche Sunday?

Kinda reminiscent of the at bat he put up against Gagne a few years ago. Same result?

EDIT: Nope. That was a very pathetic game for us.

Last year I was at a game against Tampa where Paps walked the lead off hitter and gave up a soft line drive hit to Bartlett to start the inning and with the tying run on base he struck out Pena, Upton and Crawford on 3 swinging k's without a single called strike and only one foul ball-- 9 swinging strikes. That was dominant. He's still the man. Bard is a nice arm, but ...

This is absolutely one of those games that teams just lose. They will win games like this.

That said, the list of players I am missing already in 2010 includes Billy Wagner. They could absolutely use a 97mph lefty in the pen. Sadly, if something happens to Bard they are screwed.
