Fair enough, but Wakefield isn't the only knuckleballer who has had success. Maybe in recent years, though. Wakefield and Charlie Hough are the only good knuckleballers I can think of from the last 20 years or so. Steve Sparks had one good season.

Kind of looked like his foot was off the ground when he made contact with the ball, but it might have been over ground that was outside of the batter's box. I don't know the exact rule.
