5) So let's look at Dipre's activity for this week. He made 12 acquisitions' date=' 10 pitchers and 2 position players. Most of witch are no longer on his team. The next most active, Keeper, had five, 3 pitchers and 2 position players.[/quote']

Just for clarification, 1 of the 3 pitchers I picked up was Matt Thornton for save speculation.

Never let the facts get in your way. You have no idea what you're taking about since you're not in this league. But a few comments.

1) You can't pick-up a starter the day of the game, it must be done at least the day before.

2) Since you didn't know what streaming was, it's not surprising that you still don't get the concept. In this case we're discussing Dipre ( although it could be anyone ). He isn't looking to upgrade his pitching staff with a quality replacement. He's looking for the best available pitcher that's starting that day. He's then going to immediately flip him with the next available pitcher, and so on.

3) You're saying that it's okay because the other team can do the same thing. This makes no sense. If they are leading in ERA and Whip, why would they, or should they, have to resort to streaming to attempt keep up in K's and QS's. By doing this they would now be risking four point categories.

4) A cap would be on the number of acquisitions per week. It has nothing to due with how you set your roster. Also, you can't make a game day acquistion.

Since you aren't in our league you have no say in our internal matters, Therefore, further discussion with you is not warrented.

Just for clarification, I knew what streaming was, I just did not know that the word "streaming" was used to describe it. I understand what you are saying, I just think it's a load of bulls***. Sometimes, I have the feeling that you're an intelligent and respectable poster, but you can be arrogant and stubborn. You assume that I'm wrong and ignorant just because I'm not in the league, when arguably I know more of what I speak of than you do.

I lost a lot of respect for you here. You really have no idea of what you're talking about. I expected more from you.

Now, to rip you apart in words that even you can understand.

1. It doesn't matter if you can pick up the starter the day before or the day off. That's just a petty difference between Yahoo and ESPN leagues.

2. I know what streaming is, I just had never heard of the word "streaming" to describe it. I don't see anything wrong with it. Dipre is cutting his losses by adding starters for their start, and then dumping them and picking up a new starter the next day. That's what I've done the entire time in the other Talksox league. The premise is that a starter when he isn't starting is a wasted roster spot since he won't enter the game and contribute. In addition, some pitchers have value hidden in their matchup rather than in their talent. So a pitcher who might normally be worthless, can contribute by facing an inempt offense. Just because Dipre is smart enough to realise this and you aren't, does not make it unfair.

3. Just because you don't understand something, doesn't mean that it doesn't make sense. The tactic is available to everyone, so it is unfair for you to discriminate against those who use it. Also, even if you are leading in QS and K's, you'd still want to stream start to prevent your opponent from taking those categories. Especially if it is a can't miss matchup, you can wind up with all 4 categories. In addition, you can also take the good starters before your opponent does and harbour them on your roster, so EVEN IF you don't use them, you prevent your opponent from doing so. So your point is wrong on both counts, as the team leading in QS and K's can just block the opposing player from good matchups. It is that easy.

4. This is your same point as #1. I know what your proposal is, and I disagree with it. While my disagreeing with your proposal doesn't matter since I'm not in the league, the point that your proposal is garbage is still valid. In addition, MY MAIN POINT, which is that you have to get the opinions of the group members before you make a rash decision, is still valid as well.

5. Just because someone makes more transactions than another, doesn't mean that he's doing anything wrong. Unless you set up the rule from the beginning saying otherwise, then it's perfectly fair game. In the free Talksox league, I outnumber Dipre in transactions by 76-35 (acquisitions), 73-34 (drops), 237-91 (activations). The point is, you have made no argument as to why this is wrong.

You simply dismiss my points just because I'm not in the league. While my opinion doesn't matter for voting purposes, you have done nothing to disprove my arguments. I really thought you were a better poster than this, but everybody makes mistakes. Go ahead and ignore me, but you'll still be wrong. Even when you take your fingers out of your ears, you'll still be ignorant and stubborn.

Lol i don't get why this is such a big deal.

Couple things:

1) I'm new to the league, found that they have no start or innings cap, so i assumed it was okay to stream as many starters as i wanted to. A simple PM telling me the reason why there was no cap was because the league set-up didn't allow it would have sufficed. SFOC's post came out as harsh and bad-mouthed, therefore Ital's involvement.

2) I could care less if i had to stop streaming, but wouldn't it have been easier to make a post saying that people shouldn't stream so much instead of coming out with the agressiveness?

3) If you put a, let's say, 8-move per week cap, then i could still stream six starters in a week, and keep two moves around for position players, and that's what i usually do anyway, but made a lot more moves this week because i was f***ed in ERA and WHIP.

4) I don't want to create controversy with older league members or anything, but there could have clearly been a more delicate way to handle this. I don't mean this as an attack to anyone, but seriously....

I didn't realize that you were so senative. I didn't receive a PM from anyone. I went out of my way to point out I was not picking on you or anyone else. Until now, there was no question as to what number I was considering for the cap. Finally, IS has no right to question or dictate was occurs in this league. He has stated that he would rather spend his money on porn than a money league.

Well i didn't mean sensitive because of me specifically, but because of the controversy it stirred up, that's what i didn't want to do, as i stated before, i have no problem with diminishing the number of pitchers i use.

What controversy ? The only one that was bitching was IS who has nothing to say about our league. My thought is for a cap five acquistions per week. BTW, nice pick-up on Posey.

What i mean is having it mentioned in the first place. I'd rather have as many non-issues as possible in regards to the league, and even though Ital isn't part of the league, had the problem not happened in the first place, the discussion wouldn't have sparked.

And on Posey, my C is Yadier Molina. Had my eye on him for a couple weeks.

Just a few quick things. First, the last comment was a clearly a joke, as I don't spend money on porn, and I didn't want to join a money league since I hadn't played fantasy baseball prior to this season, and I'd rather get experience under my belt before I throw money down. (although I won my fantasy football money league even though it was my first season ever)

Next, I'd prefer it if you didn't refer to me as IS. It's not that I'm offended in any manner, it just sounds like you're capitalising the word "is" rather than referring to me.

Third, while I disagree with your plan to limit roster moves, and while I think you have not remotely justified a decision in doing so, my main problem was that you seemed to be entitled to make such a rash move without the approval of people in the league. While we can argue the merits of stream starting, it isn't really the crux of the issue. It's that you were going to do it in a money league without consulting and getting the approval of league members. You were basically turning into Gom, a drunk with power dictator. So, I'm not pissed off as a member of the league because I'm not in the league, (if I were in the league, I'd be demanding my money back if you put a move limit), I'm just pissed at your attitude and arrogance/irreverance which is why I got involved in the first place.

As Dipre mentioned, you came off as arrogant and you were talking down to me. While my approval is not necessary for such a decision, my points were and are still valid. You are generally a better poster than that, and I was angry because I thought more of you. Just like when you spazzed out on Spudboy and demanded that he be banned, this chain of events caught me off guard.

Coco's Disciples. I'ved tried to PM you twice, with no success ( your box is full ). Here is the message I've tried to send you :

Congrats on your recent graduation. However, you've sorely neglected your Fantasy Team.

- No Activity in the last month

- Starting a DL player for weeks

- 4 Players on DL, 2-3 out for the year, No use of DL slot

- 2 roster moves for the year

- Last place ranking

If I don't see some consistent activity ASAP, I will freeze your team and make adjustments. I really don't want to do this.

I was going to win WHIP' date=' but Lester pitched the 9th inning and Dipre wins it. Which is frustrating because I lost to Suns last week in WHIP by .001.[/quote']

You are not in this league.

SFOC, if you're going to change the max moves per week from 5 to 3, you should consult the rest of the league. And there was no need to be a dick to Ital when he was simply responding to what I said.

Keeper' date=' are you excited about Jimenez vs. the Padres in Petco tomorrow?[/quote']

Just about anyone vs. the Padres at Petco is a recipe for success. It's an ideal rebound start for Ubaldo.
