And in Tennessee they marry their cousins.

He was way more immature than this at the start of the season.

I'll say it again: the applicable NCAA rules are as follows: Rule 5' date=' Section 10, Art. 4 states: “The game clock and shot clock, if running, shall be stopped when an official grants a coach’s or player’s visual or oral request for a time out." Rule 5, Section 12, Art. 1 adds: “No timeouts shall be granted unless there is a player control by the requesting team." Also Rule 5, Section 13, Art. 1 says: [b']“A timeout shall be granted and charged after a player or head coach makes a visual or oral request and when a player of that team is in control of the ball."[/b] After studying the tape it clearly shows that Boeheim signals for a time out when the ball is possessed by Jardine before making his move to the basket in the lane. Cahill then signals for the time out to be granted, however this was after Jardine made the move to the basketball and subsequently lost the ball. This is irrelevant however if Boeheim signaled for the time out and Cahill grants it, be it when Jardine actually had the ball or not.

Rule CLEARLY states that once you hear the coach CALL or signal for a timeout you get the TO. Cal was late calling it. You can tell he heard him earlier but had to get his whistle and didn't have it in his mouth. Boeheim was signaling for it and then began yelling for it a good second before the shot went up. It was a good call. And even if he didn't get the timeout in time (which he did), Scoop was fouled pretty hard on the wrist by Edwards.

Sure, it would have been better if Cahill had verbalized/signaled his granting of the TO in a more timely manner, but it was not wrong for him to grant the TO when he did, for even though he was late in 'processing' Boeheim's rightful request, it was still the right thing to do, if you care about things like justice.

No it does not clearly state that! It states that a timeout will be granted by an official, and will be done so when a player/coach lets the official know he wishes to take a timeout. He was not late in granting the request, he granted the request when Boeheim caught his attention with his intent to call a timeout -- by the time this all happened Syracuse was no longer in possession of the ball.

UCONN downed Nova last night. God UCONN is so wildly inconsistent this year. They beat Texas when they are number one, they beat Nova when they are number three, they but up good fights against ranked teams like Syracuse, Georgetown, etc. but they lose to Providence and Cinncy. Its easy to get up for and play your best for the big games, but a sign of a good team is beating the teams that you are supposed to beat in the games that most people don't really pay attention to

I'm sure we will mix it up, so yeah.

(Wish I was at this game so bad)

Would you be suprised if MSU brought out the 3-2 zone tonight?

Nah

As for a prediction, I'm going Kentucky 72, State 68

I think we keep it close throughout, but it probably won't be enough to put us over the top. Hope I'm wrong.

Varnado fouls soo much' date=' but they never call it.[/quote']

He is the greatest shot blocker college basketball has ever seen, so naturally he gets the benefit of the doubt on iffy calls sometimes.

DeMarcus Cousins is a little bitch doing that "call me" sign tonight periodically after he scores

He needs to get T'd up for that

Yup. I said the same thing during their game day game against Tennessee on Saturday, but of course suns was disagreeing with me.

I didn't even realize this game was on. Hell, I was watching women's hockey and wondering why. Glad they're playing at least an extra 5.

I have no confidence we're going to win this thing in OT but what a balls to the wall effort without our leading scorer as well as Varnado for most of the game. That I am extremely proud of.

I get that same feeling. I'd have called a charge there.

Wow that should have been goaltending.

These refs are busy riding John Wall's jock.

Ridiculous foul calls last 2 possessions.

So in OT alone:

1. Charge on Patterson (not called)

2. Wall fouled when it wasn't a foul

3. A blatant goaltend not called (in UK's favor of course)

Dear SEC officials: rot in hell.

So in regulation

Varnado gets a and 1 when Wall didn't even touch him.

They shouldn't have called Cousins if you didn't want the call me sign.

You just hate UK when they are good.

suns, not even going to respond to that. I'm too pissed off.

Such a shame that the SEC continues to have the most incompetent officials in all of college athletics. In every sport. They took this game away from us tonight and didn't even try to hide it. I want to throw up.
