I know you guys have taken this "super-negative, Twins suck, there is no way they can win", attitude, but the Yankees haven't gotten very few good swings tonight. They might break out, but there is no sign of it.

If the Twins can't score it only takes one swing of the bat to that weak-ass RF of yours to win the game. Any player on the Yankes could take Blackburn deep.

Having watched Burnett all year, I'm not confident he's going to be able to keep the Twins scoreless for the next two innings. His command has seemed to abandon him.

Burnett has been a lot better than you are willing to credit him for. His 2 seamer has been really, really good and the slider has been on for the most part. AJ has had trouble with the 4 seamer for the most part.

He looked fantastic for the first three innings. He has looked like a different guy for the next two.

Nobody has been able to center him because of his effectively wild capability. He is getting ridiculous movement tonight.

Yet his wildness continues. I wouldn't be stunned if they went to Marte or Coke to face Mauer and Kubel the next time they bat. So Burnett might only be in this game for five more batters.

Get him out of there. FB is slowing down.

NO, he looks great! He has been very shaky since the second out of the fourth.

For what it's worth, Damon should have caught that ball.

6IP 3H 1ER. I'll take that every time. His walks and HBP IMO were more a factor of his movement than anything else. The two HBPs were 2 seamers that started down the middle and drilled the batter. CC and AJ thus far in the postseason have allowed 2ER in 12.2IP. Thus far, money well spent. Now its time for the offense to sack up

I can excuse the first HBP, because at least it was designed to be an inside fastball. I understand that one is a product of his movement. However, the second one was designed to be on the outside. Burnett did his job tonight, but he was a completely different pitcher in the last three innings than he was in the first three.

Johnny Damon is killing this team though. He looks lost at the plate, and a better left fielder catches that ball. Damon struggles out there on routine fly balls, so it's tough to expect him to catch one like that.

EDIT: Chance to make up for it now, though. The last two batters have had good swings against Blackburn.

It doesn't count as money well spent until they play a good baseball team in the playoffs.

Also, Teixeira is SUCH a douchebag.

I have visions of A-Rod standing on 2nd after clearing the bases, slapping his hands together and cheering himself on... I hope I'm wrong.
