evidently the Cards are favored to win the NL and the Yanks a big favorite to win the AL

While the sox are getting a lot of love over the Angels, the sox are getting a LOT of respect here.

As are the Cards and Colorado is kind of getting dissed a bit with them being the long shot in the NL after posting some great numbers down the stretch.

 

I dont like the Phillies this year, their starters sort of came down to earth and their closer is rather beatable or has been every year other than last year.

 

today the twins are a huge favorite over the gagging Tigers who only win these days when Verlander goes.

I like the Twins and their gutty efforts but I cant stomach seeing Carl Pohlad winning anything.

This. Ultimately, I picked the Phillies because I like their rotation more than the Rockies' rotation. IMO, Lee, Hamels, Blanton, and Happ are slightly better than Jimenez, Cook, De La Rosa, and Marquis. I know Hamels had a down year, but I think he'll regain his '08 playoff form. Of course, the Phils' closer by committee situation could come back to bite them in the ass.
