Buchholz has got to be the most annoying name to remember how to spell. I think every time I type it, I put two C's, stop, stare at it for a second, hit backspace, add two H's, stare again, backspace, add two C's and two H's, and then remember that it's two H's and one C, berate myself, delete the whole name, retype it, and curse the Sox for not finding a brilliant prospect named Smith.

Defensive numbers I choose to believe in suggest that Gonzalez is good, not great defensively. There's no shortage of other, better shortstops available.

 

My personal favorite is JJ Hardy.

If we keep Gonzo I would hope Lowrie gets every chance to take over SS for himself.
