The Division isn't over, but it's real close to being over. The yanks have hit a bit of a bump in the road with their starters and they have to go out to the coast. That's tough this late in the season. The Sox are hot and they are playing with no pressure, because they know they have the post-season spot locked up. It could get tight.

they ONLY way the sox can win this division is to win tonight... then win 6 of the next 7 on the road before the yankee series . and during that time have the yankees lose 3 games

and then sweep the yankees at yankee stadium . so yeah its a pretty slim chance

I agree that it's important. I still don't think they go all out for it because of the slim chance they have of actually catching the NYY. They are better off taking it easy giving whoever needs some time off down the stretch.
