If 4 runs is fold it up time for Tito' date=' maybe he should have done a better job at managing to keep the deficit under 4. He just kept sending beckett out there to throw BP.[/quote']

Obviously he should not have been out there in the 8th inning, but would you have really taken him out at any point before the Yankees' scored their first seven runs?

I only wish I was here during the game.

Well...at least we bitch-slapped Beckett. The only regret I have is that we didn't smack Lester. Hopefully in New York, we get the chance.

Two out of three in Fenway when you desperately needed a series win, and putting the Red Sox in the fight of their lives for the season with Tampa AND Texas. Good weekend.

Man, I wish I was sleeping rather than posting, but call has been active tonight.

Got to listen to the game cause the hospital doesnt get ESPN. CC sounded like he didnt have much and the sox batters gave him a pretty good workload. It didnt help that the Cano of 3 yrs ago showed up either. But the bats smacked Beckett around pretty good and the pitching was good enough to withstand a good offense and bad defense. Its also nice to see Matsui producing again. When he is hot, he can carry a team. And, to come out of a 10 game roadie that took us to the left coast and ended in Beantown with 7 wins, thats great. This series essentially confirmed what was already known a couple weeks back. The sox are not gonna be fighting for the division. They'll be scratching for that wild card with a team that I think is better than them (TB) and a team I think is significantly inferior to them (Texas).

What?

Exactly that.

So?

LaRoche would be hard pressed to find playing time here with Tito's stupid loyalty to Varitek.

He'd be unhappy, Kotchman's not.

Besides that, LaRoche is a FA at the end of the year, whereas Kotchman is under control for a number more years.

Stop with the LaRoche ********.

So, you know that Kotchman is happy with this arrangement? I just think that it is ridiculous to send $1 million with the better player to get a banjo hitting first baseman in return.

He is.

And what you think doesn't matter much to the FO.

Oooh, that hurts. When they start calling you to consult you about trades, I'll buy you a case of El Presidente. Since the FO doesn't care what any of us think, maybe we should take down the site, or discuss something else instead of the Red Sox. How silly. You'd better come up with better answers on your job interview.

Maybe we should.

Your critic cherry-picking gets tiresome sometimes.

That's why they never call you regarding their decisions.

I think they cut off the feedback line in December 07 when all the Nixon fondlers threatened their lives and tried to send them.

I wouldn't take their calls.

You need to get in a better frame of mind this morning. We are all pissed today. Attacking fellow posters won't make any of us feel any better. The FO is a convenient common enemy to vent about, so I choose to attack them.

Why are you really pissed?

First of all, we are the better team. Secondly, you blatantly lost two pitching matchups, and the third one pitted two 14 game winners, both of who had dominated the other team and also been smacked around.

You guys winning one out of three would have been the norm.

If Lester had pitched, you probably would have won two out of three. It comes down to pitching matchups, and this turn around, you lost them.

As a Red Sox Fan living in NY and working in NYC, I hate losing to the yankees. Duh. Come on Gom. You know why I am pissed.

So they're an 'enemy' now? If the season ended today' date=' we'd be in the playoffs. But no, the front office is colluding with Hank Steinbrenner in attempt to ruin the organization. Yup.[/quote']You need to lighten up. You are really losing perspective. After losing to the Yankees, I'm pissed, so I vent. I may target the FO or Tito or both for my frustration. It's a healthy way for me to get rid of my negative emotions, because they don't visit our forum so no one gets offended. Is it an overall condemnation of the FO? No, it's an emotional reaction to losing. It's in a game thread where there are all sorts of emotional reactions. Ellsbury got picked off, and a few posters expressed that it was a bad move by Ellsbury. That doesn't mean that they think he is bad base stealer. Now stop engaging me on this.
