The Red Sox have the second best OPS in baseball at home, .844. Second to the Yankees at .858.

 

They are 14th in baseball in OPS on the road, at .741. For reference, NYY is second at .817. The .103 difference is the biggest in baseball.

I think he finishes 7 innings, I don't see any more though. I think the Detroit hitters are making it a point to get him out of the game as quick as possible knowing he's willing to waste pitches with his breaking balls, leading to 3-2 counts even if they aren't getting on base. They figure if they can get past Beckett they have a chance.

Beckett im confident will, he is one of the types of pitchers that adjusts for what his team needs, if our bullpen is spent and needs rest beckett can go 8 or 9 innings, in otherwords the dude is a horse.
