Then who do you think is?!? the Babe? Willie Mays? Ken Griffey Jr.?

i mean it is a fact that Bonds and Aaron are 1 and 2 in alltime homeruns the only reason i ask is Bonds' steroid allegations.

My bad' date=' then. I thought you were taking the piss out of me, as they say in Shakespeare's native land.[/quote']

Hey I say that all the time LOL

I would have to say Bonds. I don't care or pay attention to the "Steroid" crap.

steroids or not you cant diminish the accomplishment, If I did Roids I still wouldnt be able to hit 1 homerun in a major league park, if someone like Pujols started a heavy roid regiment I doubt he'd be able to beat Bonds' record.

Huh? He might shatter Bonds' record without ever even being assumed to have done steroids.

Pujols is a beast.

Carry on.

I dont think he shatters bonds' record but Pujols is kind of a bad comparison because he is in fact a beast my point is that it takes far more than roids to make that type of accomplishment. I know that without roids bonds probably doesnt touch the record but he was a HOFer without roids he wasnt a Marc McGuire who without roids was a 30HR K king for a few years.

Neither.

Neither of them has passed Sadaharu Oh's 868 career home runs.

Ruth, Bonds, or Aaron would hit 1000 HR's in Japan.

I say Ruth because of the 4,000 fewer AB's he had than Aaron. Had he spent his entire career as a hitter, he'd be the undisputed HR king.

Babe Ruth was more dominant. Not sure the guys of today would hit as many in Ruth's time. Remember, the balls were like rocks and didnt travel. Ruth had more homers in a season than most TEAMS did. What he was to his generation was something that we will never, ever see again

No doubt there, ruth is a once in a millenium player and we will never see someone who changed the game as such, we have seen great players that have been amazing but none to that extent.

If we are going to apply an "if only" policy, then Ted Williams....if only he hadn't missed several prime years due to war and if only he played in the LH friendly Yankee Stadium, he'd be the champ.
