On the pre-game Jim Rice was very dismissive of the excuse of unfamiliarity used by today's players for failing against rookie pitchers. Rice believes and I agree that a major league lineup full of accomplished veteran hitters should abuse rookie pitchers.

 

As they should be, they prob think that all they have to do is show up against the rooks.

In respect to rookie pitchers, don't they still have plenty of tape/scouting on them? I find it hard to believe that in this information and technology age, almost a billion dollar franchise doesn't have the staff/resources to scout/collect footage of every single player in baseball (minors and majors).
