Bay is part of the problem right now. Is Youk gonna sit for Gonzalez or is Ortiz going to sit. Neither of those guys is the problem. Where would you play Adrien Gonzalez to get him enough ABs to make it worth acquiring him?

Lowell sits , or gets traded for a bag of potato chips.

Gonzalez will not be traded. People, ADRIAN GONZALEZ IS NOT GOING ANYWHERE!!!!!!!

Hes signed at cheap (3 MILLION DOLLARS) money through 2010 with a CLUB option in 2011 and no buyout. He is not going anywhere. Stop the nonsense.

So we should simply stick to facts and keep the conversation boring?

Or maybe start arguing like 3-year-olds a la Dutchy and Kilo?

We're merely talking hypotheticals, what's wrong with that?

So let me get this right.

No one said the season was over.

You made the comment that people were saying the season was over.

But no one was saying the season was over.

And I'm the ridiculous one.

OK.

K, let's use sober logic for one sec. Where did I say that someone said the season was over?

so much for that vaunted sox middle of the order facing the backup closer. Tied in the east again. Gonna be tough tomorrow. The sox send Beckett to the hill while we send Mitre out there. This tie might be short lived.

Meh, no reasonable person thought we were coming back.

Bet if it was up to you we'd still have Trot under contract.

No... I just think JD Drew is over rated. I think him getting pulled for Rocco is very telling. You just CAN'T be considered a great hitter when you get pulled from a potentially pivotal at-bat just because the pitcher is a lefty.

And yes, that is a rant, but don't attack me and you won't get one.

No, weve already argued before hahaha.

Honestly though, the Gonzalez thing does bother me a little because there is no way. It makes zero sense for San Diego to trade away their best player, under control for 2.5 more years, making 3 million dollars. I think its just silly to talk about.

Wow, mad props. Your alcohol dependency... I mean tolerance must be through the roof.

Can your f***ing idiots stop arguing so we can talk baseball? What do people think of Lee. I know it wont happen but something like that would be nice.

As one of the few sober people left, I'm going to say that we're set for pitching. What we need is offense.

Depends what you call 'great'. He's slumping but he's usually a very productive hitter.

K' date=' let's use sober logic for one sec. Where did I say that someone said the season was over?[/quote']

You do realize we're only down by 3 runs without the Rangers closer or backup closer available tonight, right?

Might want to consider that before you guys claim the season's over.

I don't care what you say when you're this drunk as long as you're chill when you sober up tomorrow. I know I don't have any hard feelings. Hell, I plan on catching up with you at some point tonight.

Make a thread on the main board.

This is a game thread for Christ's sake.

Hey, I agree. For now that is. Relying on a knuckleballer who is playing well above his average in the 3 hole can be dangerous. But I think the sox have enough contingencies for the rotation and the top 2 that could be used as stoppers to forgo a Halladay or a SP acquisition. But the O has been terrible. And with no signs of hope on the horizon for the offense, the sox will need to make an acquisition

I'll ask again, since you're a little slow on the uptake. Where did I say that someone had already said that the season was over?

(Friendly tip, might want to sober up before you try this question again).

I agree I'm not sure where we could look right now. Tejada for half a year?

Jacko, to be honest with you, no one cares what you think. Our rotation is twice as good as the Yankees.
