With all due respect, why in hell do you think Toronto would want Bay? They are trying to build for the FUTURE. Signing Bay to a big contract would be a step backwards. They need young talent to develop right now.

sorry but i think Cliff Lee is over rated, he had a great year last year but to me he is pretty mediocre and probably better fit to be a number2 starter somewhere.

Lee's also a pretty defense-dependent pitcher, and the defensive unit assembled behind him with Asdrubal Cabrera at shortstop is less than stellar.

I know, and I think Lee is a good pitcher, you just see alot of ppl labeling him as an ACE and i dont think he is i think he is a good pitcher just not an amazing pitcher, alot of ppl act like he is Cy Young reincarnated he had an amazing year and has good stuff but i think it would be real easy to overpay for him...

he has been good on a not so good team he is a good pitcher and id like to have him i just have a feeling that if he is traded it will be for too much, and then again it would make a great rotation if we had Beckett, Lester, Lee, Wake/Buch(if he isnt traded), Penny/Buch and that would certainly make our rotation lethal but i think our rotation will end up being fine if we can get Wake back and start getting production from Buck oh and dump Smoltz; my point is that if we over pay id rather overpay for a bat like Adrian Gonzalez or Mark Reynolds, Victor Martinez, or someone with alot of power at the corner infield positons or C.

that wasnt the point of that post, he was the one i liked least out of all those i mentioned and the least likely to happen in my opinion but my point is that Lee doesnt solve our offensive problems, if we drop smoltz we have a decent rotation we dont have a decent lineup though...
