Can someone explain what happened on that play?

I lost video feed for a minute and read a description in gameday i cannot understand.

Freel deposited a soft looper into right field that just got down in front of Drew. Olivo had to hold up because he thought Drew could have caught it. And Drew threw him out at home plate on the force out.

This is flat out embarrassing. Let the Orioles get back into a game is one thing' date=' they can hit. But the Royals? Really, the Royals???[/quote']

What happens when you go to a pitcher with average command at best in an already bad inning.

Tito needed to go right to Oki or Bard` without bothering with Delcarmen, who needs to get right.

Maybe all the s*** talking in the Yankee gamethread was a bit premature. Masterson's s***ing yourself proficiency has about reached the peak of the mountain.

And typically of a Delcarmen stinkjob, when he's bad, he's bad on everyone else's runners: his own don't score.

maybe the whole bullpen would do better if they were getting laid a little more

Maybe they should lay off the pussy for now.

I'm glad we didn't pick up either Juan Cruz or Ron Mahay. They were some of the better relievers on the market and they both have sucked.

I just got home from a nice dinner out and now I see our 9 run lead is down to 2 runs. WTF. We already blew a 9-run lead last week, lets not blow another.

Edit: Masterson again in the 6th. WTF is up with Masterson? Can he not pitch with a huge lead?

And as I type this a bloop hit that falls fair. This is making me very nervous and angry.

If we were to lose this one, it would make the last 10 run collapse seem pedestrian. Considering last time we were on the road, there was a rain delay, and it was against the Orioles, who despite sucking, have a great lineup.

This time, we're at home, and against the Royals. Giving up runs to a sub-par lineup. This would be an epic way to blow a chance to pull a game away from the Yanks and Rays.
