Whats wrong with Jason Bay?

it's called a slump. baseball players tend to have them from time to time.

Not a big deal in my opinion, just figured with the off day we could get some discussion going. It's a long season and "slumps" like this are normal for everyone. Bay was performing extremely well up until this point and im sure he'll be back soon enough.

It's just a slump, but he needs to be dropped from the clean up spot until he breaks out of it.

I'd ask if it was time to start talking Hanley but he keeps getting hurt.

 

Guy really needs to move from SS. The effort requires to be a SS is killing his career. He's going to have to drop some pounds, and some power, to stay there IMHO.

He is among the leaders in strikeouts, can not hit a slider on the outside corner, always tries to pull the ball no matter where it is pitched, and does not bend his knees to go down for a low pitch--like Papi and Lowell, he hardly ever goes with an outside pitch to hit to the opposite field--Papi could hit the wall so often if he would try to hit those outside pitches to left. As far as Bay, I think he will want too much $$ for someone with many deficiencies.
