When asked "when it comes to closers, who do you think through the years has been better than you?" he responds, Hoffman, Francisco Rodriguez, Papelbon, Joe Nathan, Soria. When asked "you think all those guys are as good as you?", he then responded, "I think they're better than me".

I always liked Mo, he's one classy guy. Check out the interview, he's asked about Papelbon closing for the Yankees and the use of performance enhancers in baseball and he gives some pretty entertaining answers.

Mariano and Jeter have always been class acts and we will be very unfortunate when they are not on the team anymore. I dont think anyone can truly sit back and say they dislike Mo as a person.

This for me. If he was playing anywhere else he'd be one of my favorites and i'd want him to do well

Amen. He's one of the great ambassadors of baseball, anmd the fact that he's a Yankee doesn't stop me from admitting he's one of the best ever at what he does.

I wish he'd go swimming in his pool with a toaster.

You realize he's not actually human, right? If Mo electrocuted himself, instead of dying he'd probably start aging like Benjamin Button and extend his career another 20 years.

No, he's not a dick, he's a douchey metrosexual. That doesn't mean he's not a class act, it just means he has unresolved conflicts with his masculinity.

I've always liked Mo after opening day 05.

That was when he got the big standing O from the Fenway crowd right? If so, agreed.

baseball will definitely lose something when he retires' date=' and it wont only be the best pitch in baseball[/quote']The game goes on. Better players have come and gone. The Yankees will feel the loss, not the game.
