Its very practical business, all the F/O needs to do is compete and they have us at their mercy, when they win it all we're on our knees with gratitude.

Jason Bay has been a big part of winning, and will continue to be one if we can retain him.

 

Since we don't have that guy who can come in and replace him I think sometime before the free agency period Theo's going to sit down with the guy and make him a very generous offer. If Bay refuses, it's because he wants to test free agency, not because Theo isn't prepared to take care of him and make him a Red Sox for a long time.
