You know what was weird? When I was in Japan they had this nightly sports show for baseball highlights, and after a Dice-K start they showed his press conference. Just hearing him speak for extended periods of time was weird to hear, even if I couldn't make out what he was saying.

No, he shouldn't. But maybe he's not feeling well and hasn't said anything yet. He could have already been examined, and his arm showed no actual damage. Maybe its fatigue from the WBC. We don't know, hence the maybes.

A ton of Asian pitchers pull that crap and get away with it. I remember Ichiro talking in perfect English to a 1st baseman that was miked up (not realizing it), yet he always "needs" a translator with the media. I'm a bit surprised no one in the media have ever called them out on it.
