f***. Well, even though they lost, they're still 3 games in first and the bullpen gets a little rest seeing as they would have had to pitch 3.2 innings if it had restarted. I'm not too concerned. Chalk this up to weather, the Sox could have destroyed the Marlins 'bullpen' given a chance.

In an interview, Ortiz said he could see that there could be a situation in the future where he would play for the Yanks. There's nothing wrong with acknowledging that. Any player that rules them out is probably lying. Saying that you could see a possibility of playing for the Yanks is a lot different from saying that "I always wanted to play for the Yankees" like Manny said. Papelbon is pulling out the Yankee card early on. The FO will not be able to claim they were blind-sided if he walks to the Bronx. IMO, they should lock him up this off-season. He has been a big key to their success.

this is Paps' 4th full season. He's under control through 2011. He gets expensive this offseason, so locking him up is gonna cost a pretty penny. No cheap deals like Lester and Pedroia got due to buying out some more arb yrs. He's 2 yrs from getting that big contract. If I were him, I'd look for the annual salary KRod got but at much more yrs due to the fact that Paps has proven durable
