Oh, you're wrong about me a700. I'm probably the least uptight person you could meet. Most of my friends would say I'm one of the most laid back people they know. I roll with the punches. I don't freak out when the Sox don't win, or when they don't sign the player they were going after.

I do use baseball as an emotional outlet, but I'm not the type of person who needs an outlet for pent up frustration of anger at the world. Perhaps you are and that's why you don't understand me and expect that I will eventually "snap" and kill someone? :dunno:

In case you haven't noticed, LIFE HAS BEEN PRETTY GOOD FOR RED SOX FANS MORE OFTEN THAN NOT SINCE 2003. Emotionally I get a lot out of it, and it tends to be a positive experience... not a frustrating one. Even in games where they lose I'm generally assured that there's another game tomorrow. Whenever I get pissed off about the Red Sox, I quickly remind myself that I could be a fan of the Mariners or Twins, Marlins or Pirates and I become greatful again.

The remark about you snapping and killing someone was a joke. I don't think we have any murderers here. You are always so serious. You may be easy going, but do you enjoy things. To say that the last few years has been a "positive experience" for a red Sox fan is much different than I would have described it. For me, being a Red Sox fan the last 5 years has been second only to sex.

So how many times have the bases been loaded now, both sides? As often as it feels like?

Lugo wanted to keep his job I guess...something lit a fire under his ass today.

Pride is a strong motivator. He can't possibly suck ALL the time. Can he?

I'm only paying half attention tonight...trying to multi-task game/around the house again...but couple more runs, very cool...

They "only" won 2 WS. If they had won all 5 THAT would be second only to sex.

For me, there's always room for improvement but also always room for praise.

It is also worth reminding you a700: 2006. 2006 was like 1986 happened all over again. Everyone was SO upset that the team didn't win and wasn't prepared.

Okajima just made Howard look completely foolish.

This is 1st half '07 Oki we're seeing right now

Absolutely it is. He is nearly impossible for opponents to hit, for whatever reason.

This game Tek has sucked' date=' but are you really not pleased with a .813 OPS?[/quote']

Did I miss a bad play or something? All I remember was he had a nice hit early on.

It's nice that as MDC and Ramirez take steps back from their insane starts, we get Okajima becoming unhittable. It's nice to always have that one guy at any given time who's just got it all working.

...aaaaaand spoke too soon.

Werth Jacks one. Oops. Still, Oki has been very impressive.

Meh' date=' its only his 2 run given up in his last 20 appearance[/quote']

And he didn't hurt himself by walking guys, hitting anyone, or giving up hits. He gave up a solo shot up by 5 runs. Seems about right.

He K'd in his first two ABs IIRC.

Oh. Well, they all do that sometimes....some more than others.

...they sure do hate Drew. Funny stuff. hehehe

This is one of those games that will be better when it is over. It has taken so long already with the delay' date=' now all the runs.[/quote']

I'm exhausted and I don't even have the time of night issue. :D

I was going over the standing and saw that TB has the second best run dif in the league but yet their 4th in the AL east and just 2 games over 500

Good omen for them. I don't think they overtake us, but they'll get back in it.

Run differential is weird. I was checking to see what the standings were like on my birthday for the past few years, and in 2005 IIRC Washington was the only team in the NL East with a negative run differential... and they were in 1st place. Crazy stuff.

As I said, he has been very impressive. He has been a "bahgan". A very positive result of the Dice signing process.
