Right now its Greinke' date=' with a Halladay a close 2nd.[/quote']

The Royals fan in me hopes Halladay goes on the DL, the baseball fan in me doesn't. I'm conflicted...

"Halladay grimaced after tossing his second pitch of the inning. After manager Cito Gaston and trainer George Poulis visited the mound to talk to him, Halladay tried one warm-up pitch, then tossed the ball to catcher Rod Barajas and left for the dugout. More news as it becomes available. Hopefully it's nothing serious and the Jays erred on the side of caution."

Greinke is the obvious choice.

Halladay is next, but if he's going to be on the shelf he will fall down the list quick.

If Beckett keeps pitching like he has been for the last month he will climb up the list. Lester as well but he has a ways to go still.

If all 3 or 4 guys continue to pitch like this all season it should make for a great CY Young race:thumbsup:

Several bad outings today, although both Buehrle and Beckett hit home runs...

Beckett: (L), 6 innings, 11 hits, 7 runs, 6 earned, 0 walks, 5 strikeouts, 1 HR. ERA up to 4.15

Buerhle: (ND), 6 innings, 7 hits, 4 earned runs, 1 walk, 5 strikeouts, 3 HR. ERA up to 3.43

Jered Weaver getting red hot, I read the other day he was dedicating this season to Nick Adenhart...

Weaver: (W), CG, SHO, 5 hits, 1 walk, 5 strikeouts. ERA down to 2.08

Buehrle isn't really a candidate IMO.

Neither is Beckett IMO.

They are according to Bill James and his "Cy Young Predictor", at least they were before today. They were in the top 10 anyways...

Verlander: (L), 4 innings, 8 hits, 5 earned runs, 2 walks, 4 strikeouts. ERA up to 3.39

Millwood: (W), 7 innings, 4 hits, 1 earned run, 3 walks, 6 strikeouts, 1 home run. ERA down to 2.62

Hernandez: (W), CG SHO, 2 hits, 4 walks, 6 strikeouts. ERA down to 2.77

Greinke and Jackson pitch tomorrow. I'll post a new graphic Thursday morning...

Slowey doesn't really deserve to be on that list.

I agree, but somehow his numbers add up...
