So, I don't trust my connection to support mlb.tv, which means I'll be Gameday'ing the next three weeks from this temporary stay just north of San Antonio. The place I'm at doesn't have EI, but it does have MLBN. I have to say, the program running while the games are on is excellent. I'm missing nothing relevant.

Just like Thomas forgot how to count to four.

Which reminds me, I always mean to bring it up but it's not really common so I never remember.

What would you guys think of a rule that says if you forget what the count is and start heading down to first on ball 3, you're automatically out?

I think that's not a good idea. How about if you hit a foul ball that hits a car you're automatically out? We did that in wiffleball.

I need to stop telling stupid stories.

I love that Lowell is doing so well (relatively speaking) to begin the year' date=' but it's frustrating to know that it won't sustain.[/quote']

How the hell could you possibly know this?

Edit- he should get stronger as time goes on, as he gets further and further from the surgery.

A career delta -.089 OPS after the break doesn't bode well. Also has an above average BABIP. And just common sense-his OPS is almost as high as his excellent 2007, he probably can't sustain it over a full season as he gets older.

This is going to be classic Matsuzaka' date=' getting in huge trouble, throwing 35 pitches to get out of it and be spent by the end of the 5th.[/quote']

Good call. Vintage Dice-K
