Not a single pitch to Crawford was in the strike zone.

Only one pitch to Upton was clearly in the strike zone.

I was at the game. I thought the save was blown with a man on third and no one out with Pena, Upton and Crawford coming to bat. Papelbon's performance was very impressive. I don't think there was one called strike in the three strike outs. There were 9 swings and only one foul tip (2nd strike to Upton). They just couldn't touch him.

I thought Ortiz' ball was going to leave the yard. We all did.

I thought Iwamura got a terrible read on the base hit by Bartlett. If he got a good read on that ball, he would have scored easily.

On the play at the plate on Crawford.. what kind of relay throw was that? The LF throws the ball to 2nd base for the throw home? Did they ever take high school Geometry? The shortest distance between two points is a straight line. If your the LFer and the play is at home you hit the SS or the 3B in the middle of the diamond. They just missed getting him, and the ridiculous triangulated relay was the reason.

I don't think it was meant to be a relay. They conceded the run and tried to keep the runner on first.

^^^^ I was wondering about that. Were they showing the final shot on the scoreboard in centerfield or something?
