Jacko...Still think Yanks Pen is better than the Sox?

I remember arguing with you in the offseason and you had the audacity to say the Yankees pen was better than the Sox! HAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHH! Just one of the many examples of your idiocy.

 

Not only is the Sox pen bettter...the Sox have one of, if not the best Pens in baseball...while the Yankees statistically, are on of the worst. I know we are only 5 weeks into the season, but I like the way this has started.

 

Yankee fans at nyyfans.com are shouting "Wait till Arod gets back",,lol.. Their offense is not the problem.. YES he will make the Yankees better, but they will still be inferior to the Red Sox and Tampa... they just don't have the bullpen to be considered a Championship-caliber team.

 

The Red Sox have gotten ZERO from Papi/Smoltz/Dice-K and s***** first months from their 2 best starters Beckett and Lester and are still 17-10 with a 5-0 record vs. the Yankees... Things are looking pretty bleak for the Yankees...

 

For all of the talk and pre-season hype...the Yankees, so far, are proving what most objective baseball fans have known since 2004..the Red Sox are just flat-out better.

Just remember this Jim Ed, the Yankees didnt knock us out of the playoffs last year and the team that did still owns our collective asses. If we cant beat TBay, who is what 11-17 i think?then we got other worries that dont concern NY...

That said,

I am grateful for the 5 games against NY and cant wait till we see them again.

without that Yankee rotation our offensive #s would be horrid.

As far as bullpens go, Ny must move Chamberlain back to the pen because all they got out there now is a crew of arsonists who start fires every inning they pitch.They got Rivera who is still the best in the game but is aging, we seem to get to him more than any other team does.

The guy who threw Monday night was ok till Bay finished him and Bruney was acceptable till he went down, Marte is on the DL and maybe kept there to save the franchise from further embarassment.

1 thing that NY fans must admit is that our pen is better than theirs and only Suzy Waldman would argue otherwise.

Right now, the sox pen is running laps around the yankees. Doesnt help that Marte has been injured and our best middle reliever is likely headed for TJ. That put undo pressure on Veras and Edwar who have been great in some appearances and absolutely terrible in others. We've tried Melancon who has been uncharacteristically wild, might be nerves. We've tried Robertson who has had his moments as well. The fact is, the pen will even out. The question is, when. Its difficult to have a middle relief brigade that consists of no true MLB veterans. Marte and Bruney brought that to the table. Now they're out. Might be time for a move.
