I see that they never draw fans. Just a suggestion.

They draw more fans than a lot of U.S. cities. And prior to the strike the SkyDome used to be packed day in and day out.

Mauer' date=' bunting? WTF?!?[/quote']

It was a great play. It's a 2 run game, you get on base any way you can.

Too bad Morneau shits his pants against the mighty Yankees.

yeah i get that it was a smart play it just always bugs me whenever i see someone as lethal as Mauer bunt, but I realize that small ball is just as important as the long ball it just still kinda irks me.

Take a look at his numbers against the Yankees in May...

Mauer could have hit a home run, the Twins would still be losing.

Wow. Morneau gets thrown out trying to advance to 2nd on a ball in the dirt to end the inning. They really suck.

Next time Jacko tells me that the Yankees are a better team because they have the better record if you take out their 8 losses to us, I'm gonna point out the Yankees 7-0 record against the Twins.

There's no way A-Rod takes off. He can't slide on his hip, he's just trying to mess with the pitcher.

The 2 teams are very close. Right now I give the Yankees the slight edge though.

It's not like he hasn't slid since he came off the DL. Not to mention he did take off in that previous AB.

I've yet to see him slide into second, he runs out of the baseline to avoid sliding on double play balls. And that was a hit and run.

LOL, Melky's eyes lit up when he hit that one. Then he realized he wasn't hitting in NYS and the ball was going to end up 30 feet short of the wall.

Well, for what it's worth, he has slid. And I'm sure he was planning to slide the two times he took off to steal last inning.

The Twins couldn't score against Robertson or Yabb Dabb Dooo? For crying out loud, why do they even bother suiting up to play the Yankees. They are pathetic.

Right now the Yanks are the better team. But they're definitely gonna cool off, they can't keep up a pace of winning 12 of every 14 games. With a healthy Lowell and Lowrie in the second half, I'd take the Red Sox though. They haven't had production from the left side of their infield since May. Since then, both Lowell and Green have batted about .200.

Like you said earlier though, I think it's more the consistent starting pitching that gives the Red Sox the slight edge in the long run.

Those looked like hit and runs to me, Cano was swinging on stuff out of the zone. Maybe he has slid into second a couple times. But the steals I've seen him get were standing up when the pitcher had completely ignored him. And he's avoided sliding on DP balls.

Yeah, I'd trust Beckett, Lester, Wakefield, Penny, Smoltz/Buchholz to give my team a chance on win on a consistent basis more than I'd trust Sabathia (nothing against him), Burnett, Pettitte, Chamberlain, Wang/Aceves. Sabathia is the only member of the rotation with a WHIP under 1.38. They aren't going to get away with that all year.
