Hey hey' date=' we did just play the Nats, Braves, and Orioles... and we face the Mariners Friday. It evens out.[/quote']

Yeah, you better believe no one here was bragging about beating the Nats or Orioles either.

And what's wrong with the Braves? We faced Lowe, Vazquez and Hanson on the road. That's probably one of the tougher series we'll have all year.

Can't wait to face the M's though, I'll be at all 3 games.

Ken Griffey Jr. just hit a patented Coors Field East solo shot. Tie game.

Pettitte complained before his start about the home runs to right at the new stadium. He's gotta be pissed.

Mariners end another inning on a baserunning blonder. This time the runner took off on a 2-2 count with 2 outs, thinking it was a 3-2 count and jogged to second base where the throw was waiting for him.

ARod seems to be getting healthy again.

He was tired. The time off definitely helped in. The Yankees need to DH him as they are today and give him a day off every week if they want him to be productive.

y228' date=' your boy Ransom's at third tonight. Misplayed a ball already.[/quote']

Hey, it was called a hit!

In all seriousness, like I said before, I don't think highly of Ransom. I just think that the Yankees view him as an adequate backup to A-Rod at this point.

Very shaky start for CC. Bad fastball location. Very similar, in my opinion, to the way he pitched in the Mets start. The Mets just didn't have the hitters to make him pay.

And just when you think CC is going to start to settle down...

Weird outing so far. Threw the ball well in the first and third. Not so much in the second and fourth.

EDIT: He also can't get his change down in the zone.

Horrible pitch selection. CC has to know that you can't get Ichiro on the same strikeout pitch in back to back outing. That would have been the perfect spot for a fastball in.

EDIT: Should not still be in the game.

Well, the Mariners are not a good offensive team, and they really hit CC. As bad as it was, there were some hard hit balls that were caught, and it could have been worse. CC was up with his fastball and change.

His velocity going up has coincided with his strikeout totals increasing. However, he hasn't been able to maintain the same control.

This is why I hate when people say the L column is all that matters. When you're 2 down in the L column but 3 down in the W column, you HAVE to win the extra game to tie the leading team. 2 down in the L column does not equate to 2 down in the standings, as some of our Yankee fan friends love to insinuate.

Hold off the Yanks, please.

I've always stated that the loss column is more important, but by no means should the win column be ignored.

I wasn't referring to you, just to clarify. Some here like to pretty much just equate the "GB" column to the "L" column. It doesn't work that way, because if you're 3 back in the W column, you HAVE to win the extra game or you don't even tie the leading team. I have never quite understood the line of thinking. I agree it's more important, but it seems that those who like to only use the L column just assume that the extra game is in hand. Not the case.
