The difference between Arod and team ball was on display last night.

Yanks down 4-1, bases loaded for Arod on a 3-1 count

and Arod 7 irons ball 4 into a 5-4-3 inning ending dp and the guys who have been riding the yankees for the last month were going out of their minds because that ball was so low i swear it bounced before Arod swung at it.

It was a strike.

I cannot stand when RHPs who don't have pin point control throw that run back two seam fastball over the inside corner. Someone like C.M. Wang should not be throwing that pitch on 0-2, especially to a hitter like Chris Davis, who should not be a difficult strike out.

Just because Greg Maddux had success throwing a pitch does not mean every other pitcher is going to have that same success.

So' date=' Wang sucks again?[/quote']

What a shocker.

EDIT: The worst part is that he is clearly better than he was in the beginning of the year, so the point goes back to the threads I have made in the past about C.M. Wang.

How many times, in the last few games, can we point at an unproductive AB from A-Rod as the reason why they didn't score in a particular inning...

Monday vs. Cleveland: Bases loaded strikeout with nobody out in the top of the 6th inning

Tuesday vs. Texas: Popped up with first and third and one out in the bottom of the 1st inning

Tuesday vs. Texas: Grounded out to the pitcher with the bases loaded and two outs in the bottom of the 2nd inning

Tuesday vs. Texas: Should have hit into an inning ending double play with the bases loaded and one out in the bottom of the 4th inning (Teixeira's nice take out slide)

Wednesday vs. Texas: Grounded into a double play with the bases loaded and one out in the bottom of the 3rd inning on a 3-1 pitch

Wednesday vs. Texas: Struck out with a runner at third and one out in the bottom of the 6th inning.

Thursday vs. Texas: Flew out to right with runners at first and second and nobody out in the bottom of the 1st inning.

Thursday vs. Texas: Grounded out to short with a runner at second and nobody out in the bottom of the 4th inning.

I have never seen him play this poorly.

Denial.

Could say the same thing about tons of players.

On top of that, he very well could be on it now. There is no way to know, and no real evidence. Therefore, it's all conjecture.

Okay, so there's no concrete evidence. But really, if you think he stopped using once he went to the Yankees, then why can't I say the same about Manny? They both used for multiple teams.

You absolutely can. Manny using on the Red Sox and A-Rod using on the Yankees is possible, but it remains unproven.

There is a very good chance that both of these guys used when they weren't caught.

However, call me naive, call me whatever you want., but people's lives have been ruined because the masses decided that someone was guilty without proof. We should know better at this point.

99.9# of the time i wont argue balls and strikes on a sox chatroom and even now im not arguing but if that was a strike we should see a couple dozen no hitters this year...Even if it were a strike its a pitch you lay off of on a 3-1 count with the bases juiced and down 3 runs.

I wear reading glasses and my eyes get really tired at night with diabetes so maybe it was me and the bar full of guys who were watching the game with me.

I'm busting here but I do think Arod is a gag artist of historic proportions.

That's fine, but you made it sound like it was so low. Not only wasn't it so low, but it was actually a strike, and it wasn't even right on the bottom.

Well, you guys are seeing Papi without the juice. How does it look up in Boston?

Yankees win.

if Papi was just coming off steroids, don't you think you'd see a lot more loud outs that used to be home runs instead of awkward swings and breaking balls and slow dribblers that never leave the infield?

Oh..and what are you seeing from Arod? Awkward swings and dribblers in the infield. Oh..right..the UNIFORM makes a difference. How could I not see that?
