Yeah, it was replayed. The two fans were over the fence, ie they broke the plane of the field of play. The trajectory of the ball was a HR, but it was playable. When Crowe jumped his glove was bumped by the fans hanging over the fence, so he missed it.

Good start today for the Yankees. Need to get back to playing some clean games, even though this stadium looks like it's going to make that very difficult.

Yeah, clean games help, like if Ellis doesn't boot that routine, soft liner and doubles up Gardner, it's only a 2-0 game.

What goes on here?

very little conversation when the Yankees are winning, a lot of conversation when theyre losing

Haha, true, but obviously I meant for the Yankees to play a clean game. I have no problem with the other team making mistakes...

Word...f*** it let them boot the ball around all night if it gives us a W, I don't give a f***. It's not my fielding percentage at stake (or my teams, for that matter).

you guys are stuck with Sabathia for the next 7 years and Girardi is running him into the f***ing ground in every outing even when he doesn't have his stuff

Clearly he's pretty comfortable extending his pitch count past 100. If he wasn't, and if anyone thought it was a risk, I don't think they would be doing it.

Anyway, this would be a bad loss considering all the base runners the Yankees have had, and all the subsequent wasted opportunities.

This is ridiculous. Rivera had such an easy 9th inning, and they're taking him out. He is plenty capable of getting six outs, and then giving the Yankees another chance to win it. Instead they're going to Marte. Ugh.

EDIT: And the second and third hitters this inning are righties. This does not bode well.

This is a joke. I really hate the way Joe Girardi manages this team sometimes. Absolutely ridiculous. He has flat out butchered this game in the last few innings with the way he has used his bullpen.

I love Joe Girardi as Yankee manager. He is a terrible manager.

I just don't get not letting Rivera pitch another inning. I disagreed at the time with letting Sabathia face Holliday, but considering the state of the bullpen, I can see the argument for leaving him in.

At least Marte got an out, but after all that attention he paid to Davis, he still stole second without a throw.

EDIT: Edwar, somehow, gets out of it. Hopefully this inning gets to Teixeira, because I like his chances against Ziegler.

EDIT 2: And I was wrong.

Gutty effort by Sabbathia, real gutty.

Those swinging A's are a juggernaut in the making and to hold them under 10 runs is quite an accomplishment for this fat f*** with his hat turned cutely to the side like Lenny Bias used to do at Maryland over 20 years ago.

7 years and 11 more months to pay this bloated douchebag?

He'll get better when they see KC again and when interleague play opens he will shine...(shine?no pun)

Brian Cashman you are a f***ing moron only exceeded in stupidity by the Fredo brothers.

And again, does anyone go to the games at all?

I know it sucks out but come on....I can here the beer vendors arguing with customers and the drunk guy in the bleachers screaming obsenities.

Heard this from a Yankee fan about today's game. In the Top of the 2nd, with a man on 1st and 3rd and one out, a ground ball was hit back to CC who correctly threw to 2nd to start the 1-6-3 double play. What does Captain Intangibles do? He throws home (instead of 1st) where nobody is covering. Posada went to back up first. lol!!!
