Can anyone explain how it is possible that the Yankees didn't sell out their home opener in their new stadium? Maybe I'm mistaken' date=' but the attendence figures show that the stadium wasn't at capacity. Did they have large sections of stadium blocked off?[/quote']

Did they really not sell out?

What does Kay have to say about the Yankees perfomace?

The New Yankee Stadium is a sandbox.

I can't imagine how far balls are gonna fly out of there this year.

When are the Rangers in town? I'd like to how far Hamilton can it now LOL

That, sir, is classic, mad props to you.

Ive heard that the new Yankee Stadium has gone past Fenway Park for most expensive tickets. With how the economy is, bad time to do that

22-4, classic. Cant blame the Yankees defense any bit, they are all earned runs!!!

There's no defense for the long ball.

I like Wang, but it's time for Wang to work it out in the minors. He will now have 3 of the Yankees 6 losses, and he has utterly killed the Yankee bullpen.

He needs to go to Scranton, figure it out, and then come back strong [hopefully]. Give Hughes or Tomko a shot, and actually, I'd bring up both. Hughes to start, and Tomko as a long reliever. Claggett was the sacrificial lamb today.

I hope they go through with it.

Like I posted in the other thread, apparently this is impossible.

Girardi did say though that he is considering skipping Wang's next start, which would be friday against the Red Sox.

Wow...you know whats funny?

It's a loss. That's it. Nothing more or less. Wang has been the worst pitcher in the majors this year. Whatever.

If they Yankees win tomorrow, they split the series, even though they were outscored seven trillion to one.

What kills me is not that Wang is losing..is that in all of his starts, the Yankees pen comes in in the second inning. They need to figure out something with what to do with him, since he's killing the team in more ways than one.

Anyways, tomorrow it's Burnett against Pavano. We'll see.

I think he's out of options.

That’s another way of saying Wang will not see the mound at Fenway. But he also will not see Class AAA, either. Waiver procedures can be tricky, and after his post-game session with reporters, Girardi took the time to clarify the rules.

Wang is out of minor-league options, and according to Girardi, there is no way he could be sent to the minors without allowing other teams the chance to claim him. There is no scenario under which Wang could agree to an assignment and bypass the waiver system. If the Yankees try to send him down, they would lose him. It’s that simple.

As you put it yourself, he's killing the BP, I would say that's more then just a loss.

lol at the Yankees already having visable empty seats at their new Stadium.

Edit- if the place continues to play like a band box, the might have trouble attracting top FA pitchers in the future to come play for them.

Replay.

The fan's glove was clearly over the wall in the field of play. If he prohibited Crowe from making the play, ie if Crowe's glove was bumped by the fan, the correct call would be that Posada is out.

EDIT: And it looks like he did bump his glove. Let's see if replay is even worth having.
