Here is what A-Rod said: “I wish (Reyes) was leading off on our team or playing on our team. That’s fun to watch.”

Reyes is a special player, no doubt. Privately, you can't complain about having Reyes. However, with Jeter as your shortstop, your team captain, and an icon in New York, not to mention his contentious relationship with Jeter....yup, he's a f***ing idiot. Great baseball player, complete and utter moron in life.

Dude, I wouldn't f*** Madonna, and I'll sleep with pretty much anyone.

I'd love it if Jeter responded by saying he'd like David Wright on the Yanks. It'll never happen, though. <_>

It's a harmless comment at it's core cause who wouldn't want Reyes on their team but A-Rod HAS to know how fans and media will twist the comment and because of that, he's a moron.

Exactly.

Anyone who wouldn't take Reyes over Jeter at this point in time is a moron or has an agenda.

But A-Dumbass has got to have some kind of sense and know how certain people are going to react/spin this.

The guy either has his foot in his mouth or Madonna's koot.

Speaking of dangerous places, think she's the reason for Arod's cyst?

I hate Derek Jeter as much (maybe more) than the next Red Sox fan, but you have to respect his poise and maturity at the media shitstorm A-Donna's comments caused, if it were me, what Keeper pointed out would have been my exact response, but since it's Jeter, he simply has nothing to say, earning mad respect and justification for the man-crushes Yankee fans have on him.

So, as much as it hurts me to say it, mad props to the Yankee captain.
