I dunno, the Twins seem like they've been a pretty successful franchise for many years now

The Twins have overachieved mainly because of a good farm system, Joe Nathan, and Ron Gardenhire. If Slowey, Blackburn, and Perkins develop they could have a really strong starting rotation in a few years. They need more pop in that lineup, though.

And they got Joe Nathan, along with Liriano and Bonser by trading Pierzynski so they'd pulled off some good trades as well to stay relevant
