Favorite Moments from 2008

So, what was your favorite moment from '08?

 

Mine was, hands down, Lester's No-No. It was the first no-hitter I'd ever seen (as-it happened) from start to finish.

I want to shout out to Justin Masterson as one of the most undersung heroes of the Sox, and to Manny for hitting 500, which probably won't be mentioned because of how the season progressed but SHOULD be.

-Jon Lester's no hitter.

-Justin Masterson, Jed Lowrie and Michael Bowden's major league debuts, and for Masterson and Lowrie, a successful MLB season.

-The playoffs: The fantastic ALDS, including being at the 12 inning loss in Game 3, and of course Game 5 of the ALCS.

-The Coco vs Shields Brawl

-Waking up at 5 AM for Opening Day baseball.

- Getting to see my first 2 games at Fenway (against the Twins, the 8th inning comeback and 18-5 blowout)

 

All in all, just watching these guys play every day was a pleasure. Just a fun bunch and like everyone else I'm anxiously awaiting 2009.
