IBB, and now Zobrist is coming in from RF to play as a 5th infielder. Didn't that happen in a Sox-Yankees game in 2004?

EDIT: If you're going to have a 2 man outfield, why not play them in LF-CF and RF-CF, rather than just not have a RF?

I was rooting for the Rays, but after some deliberation, I came to a conclusion. As much as I'd love to see the PLAYERS win, their 'fans' don't deserve it. There have been die-hard Phillies fans before and, more importantly, after their win in 1980. They come every day, fill up the stadium, cheer for the Phils and when they don't win, they come back next year and cheer harder. As much as Phils fans are maligned in the media and by other fans, they are THERE. That is more than we can say for the people who started showing up in early September at the Trop and still let themselves be drowned out at times by Sox fans in their own stadium.

The only people who deserve to see their team win here are the Phillie Phanatics and anyone in a "DEVIL Rays" jersey.

Go Phillies, and f*** you Tampa 'fans'.

Longoria is a defensive choker in the clutch, isn't he?

Don't be too hard on the Rays fans, SOTK. Prior to this year they hadn't even had a .500 season or third place finish to give them any reason at all to hope.

He made a bad throw against the Sox in Game 5 that cost them, but aside from that I don't remember any big mistakes. If you're referring to the game winning chopper last night, you can't fault him for that. That was nearly an impossible throw to make to get the guy at home.

Yeah I remember that, Francona bugged out. I think McCarty was the RFer or somethign and he had an OF glove and an IF glove both on the field and just switched them as he was re-positioned. It was rather humerous.

Sonnanstine should have thrown to 2nd' date=' probably could have gotten the DP. Longoria probably tagged the runner. Sigh...[/quote']

Eh, makes up for the blown call at first last night.

... and the umpiring in game two.
