without the trophy' date=' all you get is a participation certificate[/quote']

Yankees don't even get honorable mention.

f***, 11-1. Close the books on this game. Time for a three game comeback. SAY you Yankees are familiar with those huh?

f*** you Jacko and your stupid ass medical opinions and stupid ass predictions. How long has it been? Since 2000, you also need to STFU!

Yeah and before 2004 when your team CHOKED bigger than any team ever.....you fans were complete f***ing ass holes for f***ing years! Can't handle one season....sell your season tickets and SHUT THE f*** UP!

Thanks.

Pathetic Yankee fans are obsessed with the Red Sox. Pathetic.

No shame in losing to the better team. They had their chance and Francona pissed it away in Game 2. With all of the injuries they endured it's crazy that they beat a 100 win team in the opening round.

Solid season, Tampa's a buzzsaw though.

Until the sox are good and dead' date=' you cannot count them out. Although this team does not look like a team with any sort of life[/quote']

Then break out your defibrillator and spark them back.

Do YOU really want to see the Rays win? I mean... it's the Rays...

What did the Red Sox look like again in the midst of way worse losses to the Yankees in 2004?

I agree though that this team lacks the pieces that they had last year and in 2004.

That said, their heartbeat isn't gone until it's gone.

I dont know, its just hard to have any optimism for the rest of the series. No one has hit in these two games, we look lifeless. If they did come back in this series, it would definitely be much more impresive as last season, and with in shouting distance of 04. In otherwords we pretty much need all of hitters to get hot, and have the luck to start going are way.

Seriously pathetic. They don't even make it to the post season and act like ass clown's out here.

Game is not going well. Time for weed? ;)

This is exactly my thought process. Even then, the series isn't over yet, but something just tells me this isn't 2004 or 2007.

I'm upset because we're losing, but I'm not about to go wallow in self-pity for days because of this series if they lose it.

If the Sox were to rise from the dead once again to win the Championship' date=' Yankee fans would be lined up to jump off bridges all over the NY area.[/quote']

That'd be the greatest day in America next to baseball being made an official sport.

yes I do. It would be one hell of a story. And I think they'll snap back to mediocrity next yr, so this is their run.

Maybe not 97 wins, but I don't see them regressing that much. They have tons of talent, they'll at least be in the race next year.

Oh VA Sox Fan...can't take the heat, can you?

Face it, the Rays are just a better team. How can you not root for a team that's been a doormat for all these years?

By the way ORS, I wasn't talking about you when it came to clutch. Like me, you never believed in it. A lot of idiots on both sides, with their "Ortiz is clutch" and "Beckett is a post-season God" and "Jeter's intangibles" made me sick. Only Manny is a post-season ninja. :)

Let's make it complete, shall we? Lets have Paps blow a 3-2 lead in game 5 to end it.

Admit it Sox fans. When you collapsed in 2005, and watched us get beat, it was sweet. You had already acclimated to the loss...this actually isn't all that bad.

yeah, but a lot of very young teams that get this hot end up having a bit of a downturn the yr after. I think they overachieved this yr

It's like we are using whiffle ball bats and they are using supercharged titanium.

There's a reason the GMs call the playoffs a crap shoot. The tough part is getting there, but the team that wins is the one that got hot. Tampa is smokin' right now.

I don't know about Tampa doing worse. The scary thing is I think they could even be better next year.

Nah. This is one of those one hit wonder years. I don't see them going again and again.
