Nah, Beckett's prone to HR's even when he's fully healthy. It's just that usually that hasn't happened to him in the playoffs.

That oblique is still bothering him. Kinda obvious watching the game.

Not really, but I expected this. It's about all you have left in '08. Sad, pathetic little man.

Saunders throew 4 straight pitches out of the strike zone and Bay is out.

Lowell follows this up with a 1 pitch out on a borderline pitch.

C'mon guys.

That I notice he's had trouble finishing off pitches? Grow up ORS. My fandom has nothing to do with my objectivity.

Not under the circumstances. Beckett looks very bad out there and might not get through 4.

this just isnt post-season Beckett, its painfully obvious

its gonna take smoke and mirrors to pull this one out tonight

I don't think so.

Beckett was unbelievable last year and in 2003, but I don't think it's a coincidence that those happened when he had a 3.07 and 3.27 ERA's.

What circumstances? The fact we're winning the series 2-0' date=' or the fact this game is tied?[/quote']

THe fact that Beckett has thrown 90 pitches through 3 2/3. Daisuke was better than this!!!

Like Pedroia stepping in the bucket, right? Objectivity? Like they were going to get swept? Like they were going to finish in 3rd last year? Like they should start making tee times if they traded Manny? Every "objective" prognostication reads like a 3rd graders wish list.

So you're telling me what he did those years is erased by tonight's game?

I mean, SSS and all, but Beckett's been a pretty damned good postseason pitcher and I don't think 4 rough innings is enough to change that.

We're winning this game.

If Josh Beckett has 30 starts in October, do you think he would still have a sub 2.00 ERA? He's a great pitcher, but he struggled this year. That's why I'm not surprised he's not blowing everyone away.
