And what is your point?
I think my point was clear in my earlier post.

You can agree or disagree with statements that Schilling makes, but for anyone to say that he should zip it or that he has no right to say something because he didn't play this season is just acting ignorant.

I don't care one way or the other what Schilling says. I only care what he does on the field. On the field, he was one of the greatest big-game pitchers I have ever seen. Other than that, the rest doesn't matter.

He just stole $8 million dollars from the Red Sox to play World of Warcraft this year. I don't get how he gets a pass for that.

He's the same old moron that he's always been. The only thing that annoys me is that people think what he says matters.

Seriously, what the f*** does that have to do with him saying the Yankees suck this year? Despite the fact that it's completely irrelevant to the topic, I haven't given him a pass for the $8 mil he stole this year but I agree with his opinion on the Yankees and still don't see how the two things are linked.

I'm sitting here saying the Yankees suck this year. Am I not allowed to say unless I suit up for the Sox at some point this year?

You f***ing Yankee fans are being so damn dense. You guys literally sit here and criticize baseball teams and play GM all-day on a message board yet you criticize someone who has a hell of a lot more relevant opinion than you because he hasn't thrown a pitch this year.

he is the anti christ to many ny fans

he hates the city

he hates their fans

he hates their team and their owner and the reporters who write there

he hates them so much he reversed 86 years of history as he predicted he would.

hows that for standing by your word??

inwardly he has much worse things to say about the yankees.

i dont like curt schilling but its amazing how much he has done for the sox

If Schilling likes to stick it to NY fans' date=' I'll gladly listen all day long. Any Red Sox fan that thinks he should shut up must be an ******* adolescent.[/quote']

Funny part is you live here in New York.

Out of curiosity, are you a native New Yorker or did you move here?

The difference is we're fans, it's not our JOB to suit up and play. That's how he makes his living, and if he's gonna sit there injured and collect $8 Mil the least he should do is keep his mouth shut. He's aplayer, and it's unprofessional to say about 85% of what he says. You don't see Derek Jeter, Joe Mauer, Dan Haren, Prince Fielder, etc. constantly s***-talking their rivals. Especially if they were hurt. Has Jorge Posada or Chien-Ming Wang or any other injured player in the league right now opened their mouth to bad-mouth an opposing city's team and fans for absolutely no reason other than for shits and giggles? Curt Schilling is just a big f***ing 8 year old who has nothing better to do than talk s***...he should just go lock himself in his den or something, count his 8 Million beans, and shut the f*** up.

Red Sox Nation has been infiltrating your shores for decades. There are some very nice Red Sox bars in NYC.

Who cares? I for sure don't.

The Yankees will suck next year and every year that Cashman is the GM.

you are dumb

You're the smart one. Keep on supporting a GM who leads the team to 4th place. You think going from 2nd and 90+ wins to 4th is a good job. Riiight.

Keep supporting a GM who won 3 World Series.

My point was that you guys are giving Schilling a virtual handjob for bashing the Yankees, while he just stole $8 million from your franchise. I'd be pissed off at him, not getting on my knees under his desktop while he's playing WoW because he took a swing at New York.

And no, his opinion is not "a hell of a lot more relevant" than mine. He's a spectator, just like I am. What he says means nothing, and I don't know why anyone gives a s*** about what he says. Just because he talks a lot doesn't make his opinion important.

Many of us Red Sox fans would bow in the presence of Schilling. Taking shots at the Yankees and their fans certainly could never change that.

The blatant stupidity is you think he had anything to do with any of them. My grandmother could have won 3 World Series if she was named GM in 1998. By the way, she died in 1986. Since Cashman....

The Yankees from their heydey 1996-2000 have declined in every way possible.

The Yankees farm system has not developed a SINGLE position player and one potential pitcher [Joba]. Before Cashman [Jeter, Pettitte, Posada, Bernie Williams]. Cashman. s***, s***, more s***.

The Yankees under Cashman have been atrocious at signing free agent pitchers. They let Pettitte go when he was good and resigned him when he was washed up. Contreras. Igawa over Lilly.

The Yankees under Cashman traded away one of their most dangerous bats in Sheffield for a damaged minor league pitcher.

The Yankees under Cashman let this year's first pick get away, their second pick needs TJ, and their 3rd pick scared them off so much that they didn't sign him.

The Yankees under Cashman gambled that Kennedy and Melky would provide more bang for the buck than Santana. Santana will lead the Mets to the playoffs this year. Kennedy will lead the Yankees minor league affiliate to a win.

Consolidate Tampa and New York? Tampa did better then this clown.

I know more about analyzing baseball than any other Yankee fan here. This is not because I'm all that great, it's just the majority of the Yankee fans here are clueless. Stop making this about me versus you. I ask all Yankee fans who defend him....are we better off? Do you feel good about your chances next year? While the Red Sox have been far and away better at developing and drafting young talent, they have surpassed us for the near future. The Rays have also surpassed us, in both talent and their ability to maintain it until they lose them financially. Where the Yankees have Joba and Cano, the Rays have Longoria, Crawford, Prince, Kazmir, Shields. The Red Sox have Lowrie, Paps, Youk, Pedrioa, Ellsbury, Lester. They are both developing better players then we could dream of.

I will say this. I WANT the Yankees to develop their own stars, like Jeter, Bernie, Mo, Posada, Pettitte. However, if this guy is depending on signing free agents like CC and Tex and Sheets and everyone else...what's the point of keeping him? If he can't walk the walk, then it's time to get someone who understands. His plan is a good one. His ability in implementing it is terrible.

It's time to bring in someone who can draft and pull the trigger on deals that are not so one sided due to payroll that he can't help but win the deals. It's time to bring in a GM who understands pitchers, and signs the right ones, and draft one's that don't need surgery.

Stop making this about an argument between me and the Cashman lovers. We are on the same side. It's time to realize that the plan he has is good, but the implementation of it is poor. He has to go. Bring in someone who can do it, not just talk about it.
