so Now that the season is over Who do you guys think will win the MVP and who should win the MVP ?

its no slam dunk this year . I think it will be one of these 5

Brees ( although his team didn't make the playoffs)

Kurt warner

Peyton Manning

Phillip Rivers

Adrian peterson

I think they will give it to Brees but Peyton deserves it more because of his performance over the last 8 weeks with all the come from behind comebacks

I disagree, it is a slam dunk.

When Peyton was playing through pain and struggling they were 3-4, and lucky to be 3-4. Since he's starting playing well they've been the best in the league. No brainer, in my opinion.

How does Kevin f***ing Gilbride still have a job? On a freezing, windy day in the meadowlands, he decided to put the ball in Eli's hands and make him win the game when he has 2 running backs who just kill the competition. Brandon Jacobs had something like 6 yds per carry and we only handed him the ball 15 times or so? WTF! Jacobs got 5-6 yds every time he touched the ball. Why not just march down the f***ing field with our running game, which was dominating and then using the pass in select circumstances off the play action?

FoxSports.com's Jay Glazer reports that Tony Dungy will step down as Colts coach later Monday.

Dungy has reportedly begun saying his goodbyes at the Colts complex Monday. A 5PM presser is scheduled, at which time assistant head Jim Caldwell should officially take over. The Colts' scheme should not change because both coordinators remain in place, but Dungy's steady hand will be difficult to replace. Dungy led the Colts to playoff appearances in all seven seasons, finishing with an amazing 93-33 record. While the Colts often underachieved in the playoffs (one-and-done four times), they will always have their 2006 title. Dungy finishes with a career mark of 139-69 and is the only coach to go the playoffs for ten straight seasons. He looks like a decent bet to one day end up in Canton. Dungy has said previously that once he retires from the Colts, it will be for good.

Well, when the Giants needed to convert that crucial 4th and 2, Jacobs pretty much got stuffed like a cheap hooker on a Saturday night.

Big loss for the Colts . I wonder who will be the replacement

Their asst. head coach Jim Caldwell is going to step in for Dungy. They have been grooming him to take the job for a few years now.

Wow, colts losing Dungy is like us losing BB, even if you have some form of continuity, if you're a Colts fan you're going to spend the offseason wondering if the original coach's unique genius/command presence/game-winning X factor is gone.

The offseason in which we lose Belichick is going to be a very tumultuous one for a lot of New England fans. Not a pleasing prospect to be reminded that that's coming.

Wasnt Rex Ryan fired from Cincinatti U?

I know he coached there and his dad was a rather colorful character being the only coordinator i have ever seen carried off the field after a superbowl.. but a grown man named Rex reminds me of either a pedophile or a mama's boy...sort of like chip or skip etc...

I like Baltimore and Philly to meet for the diamonds in February, baltimore will get to rothstein and Jesus wont be able to save Kurt Warner on Sunday,he is probably headed for retirement after he gets ko'd in the 2nd quarter....Johnson has this inane ability to make qbs look awfully foolish if they cant run the ball and i dont see edgerin james showing up Sunday..

Although Balt has a rookie qb starting I think they can run the ball a little bit,use the tight end and some ball control catching wideouts could take the pressure off...It should be low scoring and I figure Ray Lewis and Ed Reed are good for a td or maybe even 10 pts.

They can smell it,theyve been there and done that in similar circumstances.

The Giants will have to pay a hefty price to keep last year's Super Bowl MVP. Eli Manning's contract is due to expire after next season, and sometime in the next year - probably the next few months - the Giants will take the first steps toward making him the next member of the $100 million quarterback club. Manning might even end up being the highest-paid member, as several NFL sources said his next deal could be worth a league-high $15 million per season. That would be an average of $1 million more than his brother Peyton is making on the seven-year, $98 million deal he signed with the Indianapolis Colts in 2004. Based on interviews with several agents and personnel people, Eli Manning appears to be in line for a seven- or eight-year contract worth $110 million-$120 million with $40 million in guarantees. -- NY Daily News

are they on crack giving Eli all that money ? Eli is way overated . this year was actually his best season, yet it wasn't that great of a season

he's never passed for more than 24TD in a season and has only trown over 3400 yards once wich was 3762

NFL Networks' Adam Schefter reports that the Bucs have fired coach Jon Gruden and GM/Team President Bruce Allen.

The Raiders get their revenge! We suspect Gruden would still be the coach if they beat Oakland in Week 17. Gruden was able to scrape out offensive production out of poor talent, but the player procurement during the Allen/Gruden reign was very poor and they never solved the QB position. Personnel was the problem. Gruden led the Bucs to the Super Bowl in 2002, but was 45-51 with an 0-2 playoff record since. With Monte Kiffin gone to Tennessee, the Glazers opted for a fresh start, albeit a delayed one. That will hurt Gruden's chances of finding work (New York?) and the Bucs' delay hurt their chances of filling their staff. In-house coordinator Raheem Morris, who almost got the Denver job, is a possibility to succeed Gruden. Leslie Frazier, Mike Shanahan, Steve Spagnuolo are other names we're merely throwing out there.
