You guys really think Tampa is going to win the NFC South? Don't see it. Not with Griese at the helm. He's had 7 turnovers the last 2 games. That's Griese' date=' I can see that, or something similar, continuing. They won both games. I don't see the winning continuing if they are turning it over like that.[/quote']

The Bucs' success isn't dependent on their QB playing at an MVP level. See 2002 with Brad f***in Johnson. Plus, we have a rock-solid offensive line in front of him, so he has no excuse for not playing decent football, at the very least. They beat the Fudgepackers and Bears in those games, fairly solid teams.

Our D is fantastic, as always. That's what wins games for us, providing the offense doesn't stink it up too badly.

The Bucs are very average. They don't have a single playmaker on offense. That has to be on Jon Gruden, who has assembled some pretty mediocre Buccaneers teams since Dungy left. The defense is good, but it isn't near as dominant as the old Buccaneers defense.

That defense could carry a weak offense. This one can't. The Bucs are a 9-7, 8-8 team. The Saints are about to get Shockey and Colston back, and the Panthers are in another class.

Why are you comparing this team to the 2002 Bucs? That defense was historically good, and Brad Johnson had a pretty good year.

Plus, Brad 'effin Johnson did the opposite of my concern about Greise. Kind of an important point. That said, consider the source. There was more pom-pom than thought in that post.

Well obviously, nothing going to be that dominant again for a while.

The Panthers have had essentially the same team the past two seasons and didn't do a thing (granted Delhomme was injured last year). The Saints have a fantastic offense, but their defense is flat out not good. Almost any NFL offense will walk all over them.

That team didn't have a running back, and had a s***** offensive line. This year's line is young, tough, and really good, and Earnest Graham (combined with Warrick Dunn) is a far more capable running back than Michael Pittman. Those two things, running game and blocking, will make Griese a better player. Griese's good enough to win, he's not Peyton Manning.

When you throw 67 times, you're going to have some turnovers.

Thanks by the way. I appreciate that.

So what if they threw 67 times. That says more to me about the quality running game you are pimping right now than your words do. Newsflash, kid, Gruden throws a lot. He threw 50+ times in a game where the winds exceded 30 mph. The team is what it is. If they throw a lot, and Greise is throwing the ball, turnovers are going to happen......which brings us back to my original concern.

How else was I supposed to interpret that post? You arbitrarily bring up their championship QB who bears no comparison to Greise, you call an opponent the "fudge"Packers like a middle-schooler. That's empty fanboy rambling, to me. If you want your posts taken seriously, post something worthy of consideration.

Oh my f***ing god this place is incredible...

News flash, the Bucs were behind much of the Bears game, they had to pass. I thought that was common sense, football-wise. Guess not.

This is a better offense than the 2002 team.

What a cranky board we have here.

I don't like the Packers, similar to the way much of us Red Sox fans dislike the Yankees and call them names, for fun. Ringing any bells?

For the record, it doesn't really bother me how you, a bunch of old pricks I don't even know and whose opinions I certainly don't value, interpret my posts. Another board I post on praises me for my contributions, because I actually try there. This place is just s*** for my spare time, since we don't have a strong baseball section there.

I'll tell you what I told a700hitter though, keep saying s***. Its meaningless.

Look... if you only managed 13 against the Broncos... you're not much improved at anything offensively. And I say that as a Broncos fan.

Panthers had a pretty young team that's taken a lot of steps foward. That defense is fantastic, and they move the ball with Stewart and Williams pretty well. They're better than the Bucs.

That defense would make the 2007 Patriots look horrible. The defense created so many scoring chances, that it didn't matter how average it was. Johnson didn't turn the ball over, and had a pretty decent wideouts to throw to. Garcia and Griese already have more than Johnson did, and have to love trying to find Ike Hillard, Joey Galloway, and Mike Clayton's corpses getting open.

The Bucs offense looks a lot better with Garcia at the helm. The D has played big in the first quarter also, but Rosario probably deserves a Christmas card from them. He missed his blocking assignment on the blocked punt for a TD. Then the INT came off his hands and was tipped up for the Bucs to take it down to the 10.

Let me just say, right now, in terms of FFB, I hate Chris Cooley. Nothing, nothing, nothing, I sit him -- BOOM 19 point game, I start him -- fumble. And on top of that, he plays for the team I root for. Get your s*** in gear, f***stick.

WHo's the idiot that benched Marvin Harrison last second for Kevin Curtis?

Oh.

Don't feel too bad. In my league I benched Favre for O'Sullivan the week Favre went off against Arizona.

Who the f*** is P Kendall, and why is he touching the ball for the 'Skins so he can fumble, letting what looks like a 'Skins score go the other way for a defensive TD right before the half?
Posted
Just saw the replay the halftime show. Kendall's an O-lineman, and he only had the ball because he caught a pass tipped straight up at the line. Knock it down, f***o.

Don't feel bad, Kilo. I present you, my lineup this week:

Kyle Orton

Kevin Walter

Marques Colston (I found out he was sitting at 12:50 and my internet wasn't working)

D'Angelo Williams

Chris Perry

Tony Scheffler (Who I also didn't realize was sitting out until about 12:50)

Josh Scobee

Jax Defense

I'm catching the flip side of that this week. Farve vs the Bengals wretched defense, so I figure he'll put up 300 and 3. A fumble and a pick, so far.

Sure does. I hope we keep him as the starter for good. They whooped Carolina from start to finish today. Big win.

No help from Atlanta or Detroit today. Pack in a must win game.

If Green Bay can't beat a helpless Seattle team, they need to pack it in. I think GB wins big. Rodgers will probably go off like Eli Manning did last week.

Ugh, miserable game for the 'Skins today. They got caught napping, were soft with their ball control, and let a horrible team beat them.
Posted

Can anybody on my FFB team hold on to the ball today? Marshall just fumbled.

To recap: fumbles - Cooley, Marshall, Favre; int - Favre (2)

That's 10 points, f***ers.

As do I, though I'm hopeful that Griese (because he did have some success in the games he started) can really push Garcia.

Pun intended, given what he posted on his blog?
