So? He's still quite possibly the worst player on the team at the moment.

Theres a anorexic dood named Clay Buchholz who can't go more then 3 ip. gave up 3 homers today.

Yup, over.

Way to go, Lowell. f*** I can't believe we're stuck with this guy for two more years.

I can't believe that some people really wanted Lowell for 3 more years instead of A-Rod. That's what boggled my mind.

TBS reported an interesting stat earlier today. They haven't won a game started by the 5th starter since June 18.

lol f*** this team' date=' they're done.[/quote']

I can't even blame the offense/team today. Theo/Francona didn't give them a great shot today. Scored 3 quick runs Clay was in the red by the 3rd inning. Can't take this guy anymore either he's not ready or he sucks either way it's August and they are trotting out there guys with 6+ ERA's.

Two words - Mike Lowell

Worst position player the Sox have right now.

Play Lowrie at 3rd, Cora at SS

I'm not ready to give up on Lowell yet. Only thing that was lost today was any kind of shot to catch the Rays. If they can win tomorrow they will have completed a 4-3 road trip. Which for this team is huge.

Yeah. NESN just showed Buchholz's road stats for this season... the ones that stuck out most to me and seem to be the story of his season are the 9 road starts and only 44 IP. That's less than 5 IP per start. AWFUL. In case you were wondering, his road ERA is 8.18. They can't keep the Buchholz experiment going ... unfortunately, they may have to as Wakefield has now hit the DL. Colon can't come back soon enough.

No shot to catch the Rays? LOL ... we still have 2 series left with them.

1 at home, 1 on the road and both are in September. Hopefully we'll still be in striking distance by then. As long as Mike Lowell is hitting above guys like Jason Bay and Kevin Youkilis in the lineup, we may not be so close.

I hate Lowell now - but Cora? Is this sarcastic too?

Lets not forget what he did for us just 10 months ago.

Yet, according to you, we should get rid of Buchholz. Didn't he do something special 11 months ago? Is it the 1 extra month that makes the difference?

Don't get me wrong, I'm in favor of moving him down because he's still got options, but I still think he's got a promising future. I'm bringing this up because it's a good example of why nobody takes anything you say seriously.

And the WS MVP is overrated in terms of what it means after the trophy is given to the winner. Look, toolbag, the point is that neither of them mean dick a year later when the player who accomplished them is a big contributor to losing ball games.

Again, the fact that you can't recognize these types of simple facts and then try and justify the idiotic opinion with some "define you forever" ******** is a big reason why nobody takes your posts seriously. It's called hypocrisy. I'll give you another that I let pass in the Manny trade deadline thread. You said Bay was a loser because he stayed in Pittsburg and they never won anything, yet you also said you wanted Adam Dunn. See the contradiction there, or to have to tell you what it is Barney-style?

Mike Lowell is hurt and it is pretty obvious. He has at least a hip pointer, and EEI was reporting that he has a bone spur that may need to be shaved down in the off season. Right now Lowell and Papi are dinged up.

jesus christ' date=' mike lowell has a 9-game slump and everyone shits on him? way to fall into the stereotype...[/quote']

9 games? Try 21. They've gone 10-11 since the break, and in his first 81 plate appearances his OPS was .430. That's OPS, not OBP. He's "gutting it out" and playing hurt and sucking in the process.

To be honest, he doesn't deserve the flack he's getting, but that's because he doesn't deserve to be hitting 5th (or 4th or 6th) in the lineup.

until Lugo gets back' date=' the sox are stuck with him. Once Lugo returns, Lowell might need to just get it fixed and end the yr for him[/quote']That ain't going to happen.
