Eh, cheap title. I know. Anyway... Going for 14 gamethread wins.

Teams: Boston Red Sox vs. Chicago White Sox

Location: U.S. Cellular Field, Chicago, Il

Game Time: 2:05pm EST

Viewing: MLB.tv, NESN, WGN Chicago (Which oddly I get reception of...)

Starting Pitchers:

http://boston.redsox.mlb.com/images/logos/38x45/bos_38x45.gif #61 Clay Buchholz, RHP (2-7, 5.94)

http://boston.redsox.mlb.com/images/logos/38x45/cws_38x45.gif #34 Gavin Floyd, RHP (11-6, 3.66)

Scouting Report:

Red Sox: One big inning continues to haunt Buchholz. In his last start against the Royals, the bottom of the third was the troublesome one, as he allowed three runs in what turned out a 4-3 loss. In five starts since returning from Triple-A Pawtucket, Buchholz is 0-4 with a 6.59 ERA. Perhaps something clicked for Buchholz in the last three innings of that start, when he didn't allow a run. This will be Buchholz's first career appearance against the White Sox.

White Sox: Floyd was unimpressive against the Tigers on Tuesday. He lasted just four-plus innings and allowed five runs on eight hits and two walks. He gave up a two-run home run in the first to Placido Polanco and another in the fifth to Curtis Granderson shortly before he exited the game. It was the third time this season that he's been pulled before getting through five innings. Floyd has never started a game against Boston but did appear once in relief last season. In 3 2/3 innings, Floyd allowed four earned runs, including two home runs.

Gonna stick with the no-mojo mojo. It worked.

Ahhhh why starting the game thread so sooooooon???

It works for me.

Whenever I do a gamethread, and they win, I post the next game thread the same night.

(See: April 17-22)

I changed the title. I'm moving towards removing the PG-13 thing and just asking that profanity be kept out of thread titles

Don't apologize' date=' no worries. As long as your mojo holds up you're fine.[/quote']

Can't complain with that six win streak in April.

Wouldn't mind another one of those. For me or the Sox. :D

Any idea when Lugo is back?

From today's Globe:

Julio Lugo (torn left quad) did some light jogging out of the water Friday with rehabilitation coordinator Scott Waugh in Boston. Though Lugo is making progress, it seems unlikely he will be back before September .

Out of the water?

Can't we just throw him in the water? With a ball and chain?

Now I'm torn between watching this game and the Hunt for Red October.

From Extra Bases....

Just an explanation of why Jed Lowrie has been replaced in the lineup by Alex Cora. Lowrie was hit on the left foot in the first game of the series, then fouled a ball off the same foot yesterday, and was a bit hobbled.

So Alex Cora gets in the lineup today. It doesn't seem as if this will be a long-term problem. It's likely Lowrie will be back in the lineup tomorrow.
