Low risk good reward potential deal. He was OK with Cleveland last year. Just need to make sure he never pitches to A-Rod.

He used to be very solid in Cleveland if I remember right. Take a chance.

no dice, Francona says he is what he is, a starting pitcher. So I imagine if he does come back, he'll replace Buchholz in the rotation

The MLB service clock doesn't matter on Borowski, though...and neither do annual innings pitched, nor even injury risk.

That's true...but any one of those guys has a much better chance to be effective against MLB hitters at this point.

Possibly true, but I included the caveat that Borowski would have to show effectiveness in MiLB...and that would just get him to low-leverage innings for Boston in September.

It's amazing how you guys miss his point. There have been some moves that could be deemed questionable and in the Yankees favor.

 

Although I really think much of Cashman's transactions can be explained because the Yanks can take the cash hit.
