JD = MVP
Just like I told you. And true to form the idiot Yankee fans are booing. It's fitting for a Red Sox to win the MVP in the last All Star game at Yankee Stadium.

Yankee fans were on display for the world tonight for the douche bags that I have always known them to be. Nothing coud make me happier. Good night Yankee fan dickwads.

I don't see why Papelbon thinks he should have been greeted any differently. He acted like a moron, thought he should have closed the game over Rivera and said so publicly, and then went into Yankee Stadium and thought he wasn't going to get s***?

And don't give me this "Yankee fans are classless" ********. We'll see how classy Sox fans are to A-Rod when he goes up to Fenway next week. I'm sure they won't mention his pending divorce once.

Papelbon got booed. It's a f***ing rivalry. Deal with it.

In trying to placate the yankee fans' date=' Francona hamstrung himself. He didn't want the game to end without Mo getting into the game, so he took out KRod after one out in the 9th inning. If he had let KRod pitch a full inning or 1 2/3, he wouldn't be as strapped as he is now for pitchers.[/quote']

Or he could have pitched K-Rod in the 8th and Rivera in the 9th. Statistically, Papelbon was the worst closer of the 4 who pitched in regulation, so he probably should have been the one who was kept until extras.

That was the weirdest game I've ever been to. It felt insanely weird to root for Red Sox players. At least Papelbon showed why he SHOULDN'T close games. Him and Tek were downright awful. f*** Paps.

Then to top it off, they broke into my car and stole my ipod and Gps. f***. Oh well. Thank Goodness for insurance.

He said the only reason he wants to close is because it's what he's used to, and it's part of his competitive spirit. He wanted Rivera to close. And yes we are gonna give you that Yankee Fans are classless ********, because most of you are. Only a bunch of classless f***s boo players from other teams at an all star game, and threaten a players pregnant wife. And A-Rod get's all the ******** that should come to him. He's a lying cheating scumbag. He deserves his divorce and he deserves s*** if it's thrown at him. Yeah there is a rivalry and blah blah blah but seriously it's being taken so far it's insane.

I was at the game, and I cheered for all the Red Sox players because I was rooting for the American League. Also, I thought it was stupid to boo players during an all star game.

With that being said, a700hitter, I really just think you're looking for more reasons to hate the Yankees and their fans. Yeah, they booed, but the way you're talking it's like the Red Sox players were physically attacked by Yankee fans. You're being way too sensitive about this.

Nonsense, he was the 2nd best on the roster by FIP. The thing he has performed worse at than all the other AL closers on the ASG roster is BABIP, which is for the most part beyond his control.

Just because he had a statistically higher ERA then KROD doesnt mean he is having a worse season. Papbelbons WHIP, K/9 are much better than KRODS and the ERA's are very close.

Paps, downright afwul? Did you watch the same game I did. I dont think giving up a bloop single and then striking out 2 is downright awful. Seriously.

Edit- Rivera looked worse than Papelbon in this game.

How do you figure? Varitek only took the field, and he made no errors. If Navarro doesn't chuck the ball into CF, the AL wins 3-2 in 9 innings.

Home Field advantage for the Red Sox in the World Series again.

This thread has included a number of comments such as the one above.

I'd suggest remaining cautiously optimistic about the Red Sox chances to go deep into the playoffs, and refraining from proclaiming them a WS participant at this point.

They're still in a battle to make the playoffs and comments like the one above set you up for dissapointment...not to mention ridicule at the hands of the trolls if the Sox happen to falter.

He also stated he deserved to close because the Sox won the championship in 07. He backtracked on his initial comments, but once you say it, you own it. Maybe some day he will realize that. As for being classless, that applies to both sides of the aisle (a sign at Fenway park stating "Got a Lifeguard" referring to the tragedy at Mo Rivera's house in Panama, booing Jeter, Williams and Jim Thome at Fenway at the 99 AS game, comments by Sox fans regarding flying lessons by Munson and Lidle, etc, etc.). To group "most" fans as classless is wrong -- it's a minority of fans on both sides that are classless. A-rod deserves all the ******** he gets, but Papelbon, in his very short career makes comments regarding Rivera, stirs up the Rays-Sox incidents after they have settled down, bashes Hank Steinbrenner and he doesn't deserve any of the ******** he gets? There is also a difference between threatening someone and feeling threatened. I have yet to see where Papelbon's wife directly threatened. Papelbon is quickly becoming the next Curt Schilling of mouthpieces. The kid is extremely talented and would be better served to keep his mouth shut and do his talking through his performance on the mound.

Our schedule is soo much easier in the second half. Also, our lineup with Ortiz in it, has the potential to be the best in the league. The starting staff is as talented and deep as any staff in major league baseball. The only concern is middle relief, but I think Materson will help and I wont count out a deadline deal to help with that.

Sorry about that man. Last year when I went to Yankee Stadium, the same damn thing happened to me! I was walking up to my car, as I got closer I saw glass on the ground next to my car. The gps was the only thing they took
