CC Sabathia has been ridiculous ever since being traded to the Brewers. He pitched a 3 hit CG shutout tonight at St. Louis' date=' his THIRD CG in 4 starts with Milwaukee. With Sabathia, Sheets, and Manny Parra, the Brewers have a scary 1-2-3 in the rotation. I'd hate to draw them in a short series in October.[/quote']

Yes, but most of the NL is AAAA-caliber.

Sabathia hasn't changed--his opposition has.

its nothing new, Sabathia has been fine since his 4th start of the season

The Rays are losing 4-0 in the 5th inning to the Royals. A loss tonight by them brings a tie for first.

The Red Sox and Mets in first place--- a true nightmare for Yankee fans.

Oh, no doubt. He's still been steamrolling them though.

I absolutely LOVED seeing the Brew Crew sweep the Cardinals IN St. Louis tonight. Bwahahaha. That was awesome.

lol' date=' everyone is going bat s*** in the Twins/White Sox game. Umps are in the stands, Ozzie pulled his team off the field, Ozzie's yelling at some fans, fans throwing s*** on the field. Wow.[/quote']

So I guess it's in Chicago?

What brought all that on?

One of the Twins players got hit by a pitch when he had shown bunt, but the third base umpire ruled that he didn't pull the bat back (which he clearly did). Gardenhire went nuts and got ejected. Then it got out of hand lol as SOTK pointed out.

Oh, and the game was in Minnesota, as I'm sure you guys all know at this point.

Yeah, I ended up seeing the highlights a little later. Pretty funny stuff.

I lol'd at Ozzie jawing with that fan hanging over the dugout.

I was watching the Dodgers game earlier and a question entered my mind: Is there a bigger LVP than Andruw Jones? I think it's a valid question. They signed the guy for $36M over 2 years this offseason, and he's batting .192 with 2 HR's and 13 RBI's. Absolutely dreadful. He strikes out a ton and tries to pull everything, regardless of where it's pitched.

Pavano will rescue the Yankees, going 5-0 in five starts in September, and start game 1 of the ALDS. You wait and see. :)

The Tribe has something else brewing in the 7th. How the hell does Balfour have a 1.42 ERA? That pixie dust should be ready to wear off at any time now.

lol @ Izzy blowing a 4 run lead in the 9th to the Dodgers.

There is not a worse bullpen in the majors than the Cardinals. How they're even in contention for the WC is baffling.

Thank god for Ryan Ludwick hitting a walkoff 2 run homerun to win it in 12 innings. IMO Ryan Franklin will be re-handed the closers job any day now

I think Franklin is their current... "closer", but I'm guessing he had the day off and instead they used Izzy. The thing is, Franklin hasn't been getting the job done either. They all suck.

White Sox come back from 6-1' date=' and 8-6 to beat the Tigers, 10-8 in the bottom of the 14th. Swisher walks off with a massive three run shot off Zumuya.[/quote']

Meanwhile Joe Nathan just blew a save at Seattle and the Twins lost 8-7.

That's cuz it's getting to be crunch time and Nathan, IMO, does not have what it takes come crunchtime. Not sure what the stats say, but if I recall, didnt' he have a chance to keep the 2004 series against the Yankees going but walked a bunch of guys.

I believe the Yanks rallied 3 times for comeback wins in that series and Nathan and Rincon both were part of the Twins demise.

Is the Tribe's closer position cursed? No matter who they try out there, the results aren't good. Mujica hanging on by a thread in Tampa. Comes in for the 9th up 3, two straight doubles, one on, none out, 7-5. Stop sucking.
