Report: Worker tries to jinx Yanks with buried Red Sox shirt

By THE ASSOCIATED PRESS 9 hours, 34 minutes ago

NEW YORK - Say it ain’t so, George!

A construction worker on a concrete crew at the new Yankee Stadium secretly buried a Red Sox T-shirt under the future visiting clubhouse in an effort to jinx the Yankees, the New York Post reported Friday.

The paper cited two construction workers it did not identify, saying they were not authorized to speak with the media. One of the workers said the T-shirt was poured in a slab in the visitor’s clubhouse.

“It sounds like a tall tale, and it would take more than a Red Sox T-shirt to put a curse on the Yankees,” team spokesman Howard Rubenstein was quoted as saying.

The Yankees move to the new ballpark in 2009.

Let's not forget that I urinated at the new site shortly after the ground-breaking ceremony. They are doomed.

I remember your plans to jump the fence and piss on the site. You said it pays to have friends in the police force, IIRC ...

My friend worked in Borough Command for the NYPD, so he coordinated the security detail for the ground breaking ceremony. BTW he is a Yankee fan. He laughed and called me a sick f***.

The fact that the Yankees went through the trouble of digging up the Jersey shows how much things have changed in this new century. The Red Sox must really be in their heads for them to go digging for that Jersey. The NY Football Giants never went digging for Jimmy Hoffa. The Red Sox scare the Yanks more than the mob? Well my piss is completely soaked in at the new site and they can't remove that. I've pissed on their new house, and I plan on pissing on the hallowed ground of the grave they leave behind. I can hardly wait until they take a wrecking ball to that bed-pan shaped toilet in the Bronx.

Not to mention Lil Stein's quote of "I hope his co-workers beat the s*** out of him" or something very similar to that.

Gotta love classy management and ownership.

Hank Steinbrenner just reminds me of the red-faced guy you see face down at a bar at 2am with a glass of jack on the rocks split on the floor in front of him
