so it says on mlb.tv that you get every out of market mlb game. Does that mean you don't get sox games ever if you purchase this and are in an area "subject"???

I think what you are asking is, do you get the games on mlb.tv if you are in the Sox "market"?

I don't know. I'm technically in, while being 2 hours away from, the Rays "market". The reason I don't know is because I've never attempted to watch the Rays on MLB.TV. I'd call their customer support and determine if you will be able to catch their games.

If, however, your question is if you will be able to watch Sox games outside the Sox "market", but inside another "market", then the answer is yes.

Hope that helps.

Also, when the Sox play a Saturday day game (1:00 pm or 4:00 pm start), and the game is not covered by Fox in your area, then you will be blacked out starting (I think) on May 17th, when Fox begins it's weekly coverage.

Also, again. Go to the downloads page....here.

Download Mosaic, Silverlight, and Nexdef. Get the premium subscription to use Mosaic. It is the shiz. Definitely worth the extra $30 over standard mlb.tv. Six games at once!

Nope, you don't get them. I live in GA and can watch the Sox games just fine (except Saturday Fox hours), but cannot watch a single Braves game because it's on TV.

If you go here: http://mlb.mlb.com/mlb/subscriptions/premium.jsp?c_id=mlb

There is an area in the lower left where you can put in your zip code and it will tell you whose games will be blacked out.

I live in central PA. The Yankers, Pirates, Mets, and Phillies are blacked out for me.

I have MLBtv, and for me it's just find, good stream, rarely an interruption video wise. I'm blacked out from Astros, Rangers, and I think the Braves games, but I have FOX to watch the Astros to get a baseball fill and I could care less about the Rangers and the Braves.

It's really not that bad for $15 a month, the only thing is if you're looking to get it for Sox games and live in New England, you'll be blacked out.

Need a little help here myself. Getting ready to be in Cleveland for 4 weeks of training for work. With mlb.tv while in Richmond, I don't get any O's or Nat's games.

We'll face the O's 7 times while I'm there (2 weeks in OH, back a week, back in OH for 2 more weeks). Will those games be blacked out while I'm in Cleveland as well b/c of my home address?

If you don't know, I'll leave you the "f" alone and call customer service.

I bet you will be able to watch the games. I was watching the Yankees last year when I was travelling to Chicago. I do not think they look at your home address at all - it's location of your ip address that all matters.

Cleveland is nice in this time of the year. Do not forget to go to Jacob's field if you get a chance where I have seen multiple Sox games when I was living in Cleveland( voted # 1 recently in terms of park, economy, fans etc.)

I finally got NESN two weeks ago. 42" Plasma, La-Z-Boy recliner, built in bar, wireless coverage, NESN - my family room is now complete.

Does anyone know if they look at the zip on your credit card? Like, for instance, I live in Syracuse so all Yankees and Mets games are blacked out for me. When I register, say I use a new email address and a new credit card, can I put my zipcode in as like Anchorage, AK or something so I'm technically not in any market and then entitled to everything?

I feel like they must use the zipcode attached to your credit card, but I don't remember how it worked when I last signed up.

Thanks all! To be safe, I also called mlb.tv and all I have to do (for each O's game) is call them with the zip code in Cleveland and ip address and they will unblock the game. It'll be weird watching on my lap top but it's better than nothing, by far. So I'm set!

The Guardians are only in town a total of 6 times during the 4 weeks I'm there. I was at The Jake in 1993 (the old field), looking forward to the new stadium that is now called Progressive Field (the co I work for). Hope I get a couple of games in but I'm definitely set for the June 11th game v. the Twins, have a line on some box seats, so I'm psyched about that and going to the Rock N' Roll Hall of Fame (it wasn't there yet in 1993).

Otherwise, Cleveland sucks, ha ha!

I watched on my laptop when I went to Seattle. It's good, but I have a decent computer. How much RAM does your computer have?

My lap top is pretty old. 512 MB, does that suck pretty badly?

I used to work for Progressive in Cleveland.

I think they look at your IP settings to find your location. Take a shot at it though.

I think that is the case.

I've been there almost 20 yrs, but always in VA.

It'll always be Jacob's Field to me, that is until I get old and senile. Sad how co's etc have taken over the names of stadium's. Hope it never happens to Fenway, Wrigley, etc.

That's good to know. I have Verizon Fios. I've watched tv shows w/ limited problems. I just need to clean out a lot of crap that I've accumulated over the years.

If you have Fios I'm sure you'll be fine. If you have any problems then close any programs you have open besides the player.

Also in the bottom right hand corner on the taskbar if you have any programs that you are not using then right click on the icon and close it. Make sure you know what it is though.
