Not really important but I just noticed the D-Backs are wearing their black uniforms, essentially forcing the Rockies into their grays. Noteworthy because the Rockies have worn their blacks since the first game after their last loss, so the D-Backs appear to be trying to disrupt their mojo.

Byrnes will be fortunate if they only get the one on the Helton SF. He should have held Matsui at 1st instead of trying to get Tavares tagging at 3B.

What appeared on paper to be a mediocre matchup is now a pitching duel.

Ubaldo's been big for the Rockies down the stretch. He held the Phillies to one run in the NLDS, and pitched a no hitter into the 6th in the Rockies first final game of the season (aka #162). But I'd be lieing if I said I didn't expect it to be 4-3 Rockies or something like at this point.

2-1 Rockies, by the way.

Nice stop by Drew. Could be 3-1...

And he's due up next inning. Big K.

Diamondbacks fans are really bugging me this series... they sure are passionate for a fanbase that can't even sell out it's NLCS games...

I dunno...most people I've seen in Phoenix are transplants and still root for their old teams.

Eh, I can't get too upset at 'em... people from Colorado (where I lived as of two months ago) pretended the Rockies didn't even exist and now they're all Rockies fans...

Tony Peña: 10 pitches' date=' 10 strikes, 3 K's.[/quote']

Yeah, he looked good.

If the Rockies can win this kind of game against the D-Backs, it's meant to be. Winning these types of games as much as they have is the only reason Arizona made it close to the playoffs.

More baseball to be played... :(

Rockies blew a 9th inning lead, now we're in the 11th and based on how the Rockies offense has looked tonight and how the D-Backs offense has looked all series, it'll be a while before this one's decided.

2:20 AM EST.

No one east of the Mississippi is watching this one. Shame.

I watched it...

Glad to see the Rox up 2-0. I'd really like to see them in the World Series for their first time ever.

Whos gonna beat the Rockies? Anyone?

:dunno: :dunno:

But Jason Stark put it about right...

"They win when they hit. They win when they don't. They win when they pitch. They win when they don't. They win when they score early. They win when they score late."

Wow what a shock I didn't even think the Rockies would make the playoffs now they are 2 wins away from the World Series. To be honest with you the way things are looking I think they have this series and will be in the World Series.
